All the Samples From Mars are available for $39 right now. I just bought them. My Deluge plays multisamples, and I'd like to get another device that will do it too - I'll probably try out a Raspberry Pi for this at some point.

Sweet. I've got a Yamaha TX-81Z and an Alesis QSR so far. The only effects unit I have is a Zoom MS-70CDR. I want to get something for overdrive/distortion, that will work at line levels. I feel like my next big purchase will be a drum machine, possibly the Elektron Model:Samples. But I don't know, there is a point where owning more gear causes me to get less done.

I'm absolutely loving my Synthstrom Deluge. More than just a groovebox, it also has midi I/O, 2 CV outs, and 4 gate outs. And it acts as a USB host, which I don't even understand but people are excited about it. Check it out and we can be nerds together. I'm modular-curious at this point, but mostly I'm interested in FM and other digital synth sounds. They're a lot cheaper, for one thing, but also I love industrial music. I'm trying to assemble a fleet of cheap old 90's-era rack synths, to run through effects. I have an Arturia Minibrute for bass/lead stuff.

I really want to see these guys someday. The new album is crazy good.

I'm the de facto IT guy in my office, and I need to protect our data with something cloud-based that will do an automatic backup every day at a specified time. We have three computers, less than 1 TB in total. I know there are a lot of options, and I don't know what makes each one better or worse than the others. Can someone give me a really quick "get this one, stupid"?

This might be their best album yet. It's a heavy, melodic beast, every song a history lesson about WWI. Loving it.

I dig it. Thanks @Dusty Chalk. Edit: have I professed my love of this album here yet? These Swedish kids are so cute, and they've put out one of the strongest debut albums I've ever heard. Track 6, Yggdrasil, is the only song in the world that makes me tear up every other time I hear it. Also, despite what the horrible/awesome name would suggest, they are not all dudes.
