  1. I don't... although I am interested in this http://www.sonnettech.com/product/tempo_sata_express34.html What else can I do with the ExpressCard/34 slot?
  2. What ports are on the iMac? Usually it's a Firewire400/800 and usb2.0. Wouldn't you be better off with either firewire 400/800 instead of the usb port? I'm curious as to why you would want that newegg product. I bought a Rocstor enclosure and put in my Sata drive. Come out Firewire 800 to my macbook pro. What would be the motivation to buy that cable?
  3. why? because I can...

  5. You don't. You're a figment of your imagination...
  6. Isn't it possible that the company hosting the servers could have promised him that they would be doing backups... and didn't? Or would that be his responsibility?
  7. Found another menu bar option. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/26268/leopaque
  8. So all you computer experts out there... what do you figure the chances are that they'll be able to recover it? After all of this time? I would guess that the client sites will come first.
  9. Worst case scenario - that could be the death of Head-Fi. Wonder how forgiving his clients will be? Could be costly...
  10. Worked like a charm. What exactly does that command do? About the only time I use the terminal is when I run Applejack...
  11. Hmm.. mine would not restart after the update. Just hung there. Did a hard reboot and it appears to be ok... although Disc Permissions won't repair some of the items.
  12. Only problem I've had so far is Toast 7 doesn't work. Went ahead and upgraded to 8 and so far so good. With 4 gigs of ram my MacBook Pro is flying. 2.4GHz/160gig drive/HighRez screen. Very happy...

  14. Jagwire has dissapeared off the face of the earth. Last time he was on the Canon website was in the end of July... and that's about the same time he left Head-Fi as well.
  15. I wonder how much money he will be out with his sponsors...

  17. I use Final Cut and Photoshop... which are notorious memory hogs.
  18. Install went fine and without a hitch. Haven't had a lot of time to check out all of the new features. Maxed out my Macbook Pro with 4 gigs of memory today. Damn that was expensive.
  19. When the Titans first came to town they had a flyover with one and 2 F16s from time to time. On one flight the pilot of the B-2 actually flew through the stadium... not over it. Wasn't there for it, but the ad agency I've worked with had a film camera there for it and you can see just how low it was. Amazing. The pilot got into trouble for it... at least that's what the ad boys said. I should have saved the Kroger spot it was in...
