  2. And of course Canadian high school choir/cover bands. And up next...I'm not sure I understand gender, but women singing Tom Waits shines something related to truth on it (if my personal biases can be ignored) EDIT: Final melodrama of the night...

  5. I want one too! Spent the day between work stuff transferring all my favored artists and albums on Tidal over to Qobuz. It's still missing artists, but prefer the interface, suggestions and cheaper price. Then went over to Tidal to unsubscribe, and see I'm on a veteran's discount plan and it's actually much cheaper. Damn, now what?

  11. Spent most of the day reviewing and approving English transcriptions and Spanish (Latin American), French (France), German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Hindi, Italian, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese translations for several dozen videos. Really wish I could read Spanish (Latin American), French (France), German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Hindi, Italian, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Was in a discussion with a few others today on gameplay between Odyssey 2, Atari (eventually called 2600), and Intellivision, and came across a promotional vid for Odyssey [1]. Man, things were exciting in '72.
  13. I know we're extremely late to it, and never read the books or saw the 2004 movie, but man, oh man, is Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events Netflix... ah, series, with Neil Patrick Harris fuuunn.

I got through three, but I don't trust its narrative any longer. Funny how much overlap there was between this season and Devs.

^ Water sports and double fisting in the same post! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Just quoting a few lines, cause they're funny in hindsight (like going back to early iPod reviews), linked off the above Hodinkee article. "The Apple Watch is an incredible piece of engineering, no doubt. It is still not as cool as a mechanical watch, to real people." Ouch. "In the same way those who publicly wore bluetooth headsets five years ago and those who wore Google Glass one year ago, will smartwatches ever become a thing that people genuinely want?" "Imagine a man who grew up in the middle class, went to a decent school, got an okay job, lives in a nice apartment in some metropolitan town, maybe drives a German car and occasionally splurges on something nice for himself. Do you see him wearing the Apple Watch? I don't."
