yup, mk2..... spot on....actually combination of both. too soft and dark. its like listening to an underpowered system. Need to crank the volume up to get the details and impact on the high. no complaint on bass dept though. anyway, thanks for the recommendation. i will settle with the stello first whilst keep looking for another dac once i unload the neko (great dac but with this new headphone, it have no use for me). If i find one, will post it here for advice

Its kind of scary for me to mod such an expensive headohone (expensive for my taste)......prefer to take other route. Unless very experienced user is doing it for me. Precisely. So, any suggestion of good dac? The ones thats on the warm/tilted towards bright to compensate the darkness?

Not sure too. Bought the o2 used frm conus user. Its the black variant. Now that i changed the dac, it sounded much more to my liking already. The sound of what o2 are supposedly to sound albeit that i've never heard it from bhse. My question is more like if i could improve the sound further by having a better dac

well, in that case its back to the holy grail question.....to bhse or not to bhse now this makes me wonder is it like day and night difference bet kgss vs bhse ??

zilch.....my first encounter with o2 actually. like my post above, i use stello da100 now and it sounded much much better (or warmer) than the neko. thus brings me to my question if there's any other alternatives dac thats supposedly better than the stello? As much I like stello, like it or not it's still a mid tier DAC thus I see a room of improvement there? (or are there any?)

Folks, just got an O2 and when paired to kgss and neko d100 i ended up with a sound sig darker than well for lack of a better word, dark..... After switching around with sources i have, i settled with stello da100. Its much better and suit my taste more or less. I also liked dacmagic my friend had. Are there any alternatives dac that would complement this rig well? Say price ranges between 1-2k ? And those that supposedly bettered than stello? Any advice as always is much appreciated

i noticed that Neko Audio seems dont have any love over at HF despite Wes Miao heavy advertising with the site. Its a fine DAC ,beat the hell out of the mainstream DAC (Lavry, Benchmark). I hope his business didn't go downhill....

anyway, just got off the phone with UE support. They promised to send me a replacement once they got my fried driver. Will cross my fingers on that.

I was on the way up to US from Asia and transit at HK and bought airline adapter. As soon as the plane took off I plug the TF10 with the adapter into the airline seat. I leave the TF10 for a while and do some reading. When I'm ready to watch some inflight entertainment, I hold the left IEM and it burned my hand. Apparently the plastic right in between black and blue part melted (in the inside part) and I can faintly smell burning smells When it cold down I tried and have lost the bass responses. There's no bass at all on left channel. I guess the low driver was burned. I dont have any idea if I buy a screwed up airline adapter or its the headphone port thats causing this. Now perhaps a member here have some leftover amazon deals that they willing to part with some profit ? I have grown to like it a lot and been using it constantly as my travel rig. With the recent purchase galore of headphones I'm very low on cash......

Any member kind enough to accept my visit and let me audience his/her valuable amp? Either SFO or LA (Cal area) should be fine. Thanks

just curious folks.....lots of people said that JH13 or 16 is the best among IEM that can even beat stats. I know its not apple and oranges comparison but what would be equivalent sound capability of these JH's in terms of stats? I have read people comparing these with O2 and saying that it's up to par there. I did auditioned a universal JH13 once but not long enough to conclude. All I remember is yes they sounded very nice

folks, short of BHSE, is it suffice to say that KGSS is the next best amp for O2? Also is there any sonic difference between normal BH and BHSE ? Thanks

Sennheiser or AKG or any of those headphone companies come up with supposedly audiophile grade wireless headphone then I believe the following would happen: 1. Big war on HF, cable vs wireless 2. Snake oil company will come up with "atmosphere treatment" so that RF will travel more freely and no interruption on the air thus increasing SQ What else you guys reckon would happens ?

hi praer4life ,welcome to headcase. because of the koss esp950 setup through dac and setting with bias in which will affect another dac and the setting will become fixed. Thus this stats headphone will need another servicing that is why the cables will not tangled. For the E90, all you need is to wring and dry it for these setting and bias will not affect another dac in which will not be able to drive the earspeaker. Another issue is stax with e90 will not 404LE and O2, that will need to be rewired. I dont mind about swearing in which will serve you lunch and dinner where the songs will be ripped directly from the tonight show. I believe that anyone who owns HE60 or HE90 will have no switch to recable and increase the bias to another level which clarity will beat any dynamic headphone out there. 5th day I had it......same like Justin, nothing changes. One thing I notice that this headphone does a better job on male vocal than 950. But it could be my hearing
