  1. Very good news to see them finally released. I still say Kim Jong Il is batshit crazy.
  2. So who is going to be the first to bite on these: ModWright Oppo BDP-83 Modification
  3. should be good now, was a stupid permissions thing. it defaults to work for admins and mods only which seems kinda dumb.
  4. Added a small feature today, now if you click on a username in a post there's a new option in the drop-down menu that lets you PM the user quoting the post in question. Screenshot attached

  12. thats what i get for being too general . in some case keys only work with vendor specific oem discs/iso's.
  13. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the Pre hits Verizon in the first couple weeks of January. I know Sprint keeps claiming they have a longer exclusive deal but I'm doubting that.
  14. Just wait till Verizon gets the Palm Pre early next year.
  15. Yeah but depending on the ISO his Acer key won't work. For example OEM keys don't work with the retail iso and vice versa...

It is, and Dan has been testing it out and he says its faster than the old version and has PM support now. So I think it's pretty safe to recommend it for those iphone/itouch users who want the best way to view HC on your device. It's $2.99 and here's the itunes store link for it: iTunes Store
  17. I wish it wasn't so damn expensive but it's a must own: Amazon.com: Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series [blu-ray]: Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Tricia Helfer, Callum Keith Rennie, Grace Park, Michael Hogan, Matthew Bennett, Paul Campbell, Aaron Doug

I'll post more later, but I think what surprised me the most about the HD800 is their lack of distortion, very Stax like in that regard. I was also a little bit concerned about the bass, but that has turned out to be unwarranted. The HD800 produce deep, strong bass that's articulate and very textured. It doesn't have l3000, ps1 or O2 levels of impact but they are punchy when they need to be.

  20. 1gig of ram is kinda pushing it for Vista, even if you turn off all the visual effects and basically make it look like XP.
  21. Time to just find an OEM copy of XP to buy and use that.
  22. You can call up Acer they should be willing to send you one for $10-$15 or so.

For iphone/itouch users there's also an app you can buy called Tapatalk. It's not free (I believe its $2.99) which sucks, but it's basically a native interface for vbulletin forums. I'm not going to current recommend it as the 2-3 people I have testing it complain about how slow it is and the current version doesn't support PM's. The developer has a new version that is supposedly much faster and supports PM's but they are stuck waiting for apple to approve it. If it does turn out to be much faster I'll start recommending it.

Ok the original HD800 thread is absurdly long time to break out impressions into this thread.
