Right on! You guys and gals are going to have a blast. I look forward to a detailed play-by-play, even if incoherent. Pictures are a must. And I'll know to board a plane and start billing if I see any mug shots. Safe travels to all of you.

Not bad. Like Secret Santa, but more fun. Well, not for the recipient.
  8. This is the Stax thread, assfacehole, if you don't like moar random cable arguments then STFU!
  9. Both reasonable responses, but I suppose I find it more disingenuous when people so adamantly state and/or believe that they are immune from any placebo effect.
  10. I'm generally a cable agnostic, but I agree with reks here: show us some data. If it's reasonable to take someone's subjective opinion about the differences between silver and copper, then it also is reasonable to ask for data that would tend to support that subjective experience. That people take such personal offense at such requests is telling. There's a certain arrogance to the "Well I heard it, so you have to believe it" camp that I find particularly annoying, and, in the end, lacking in credibility. Skipjack FTW!
  11. I hope you hate them.

  15. The P/DD 1500 is a digital surround decoder that appears to also work in 2-channel mode as a stereo DAC. I thinik it uses the PCM-63-J. Your thoughts?

    jealous.
  18. Learned that the personnel changes my company made recently were actually well thought out. And people were able to keep their jobs. Reminded myself not to take for granted a secure and solid job at a decent company.
  19. A basement of asshats. A flight of fail. A stack of Stax.
  20. I said goodbye to my grandmother in much the same way. It was very painful, but today I am thankful I had the chance to say goodbye. I hope you will be able to take some solace in that, too, with your grandpa. I'm very sorry for your loss.
  21. General paranoia about the "bad guys" using one of our order numbers to somehow steal or otherwise screw with one or more of our orders. EDIT: Good move.
  22. Congrats to the grads and sympathies to Doug.
  23. heh, you beat me to it, reks. It's a pretty damn good idea, dusty.
