Not trying to be obnoxious, but what does it matter if it is "low balling"? You have a notion of what you will accept, and that ain't it. At the same time, the offeror is trying to see if he can get a bargain. Nothing wrong with that, if a little annoying. Just tell him thanks for the offer, but that it's not close to what you will accept and move on. Or just ignore him completely. Now if you are getting a lot of "low ball" offers at around the same price from different people, then maybe you need to reconsider your pricing.

Rendezvous rye rocks -- Sorry Chris, for your family's loss. I like the Rendezvous rye A LOT. But I felt that it was making a rather sweet Manhattan, so I had an Old Potrero Manhattan (thanks Dan!) earlier. That was tasty.

I just bought Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" from HD Tracks. It is supposedly 24/96, but with some of the recent hubbub about what is really going on inside the tracks, I downloaded Audacity and ran a Spectrum Analysis on "Never Going Back Again." The screenshot is attached. I don't know how to read these things. Can someone let me know what, if anything, can be seen here? EDIT: Added Plot Spectrum.

It's also interesting given that I think TAS and maybe Stereophile (not sure about that one) have review samples. Odd that the revision would be introduced during that time.

Aubert Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay 2008

PWD Mk2 coming out. I guess it's good that it is upgradeable for those of us who have the mk1, but the price is a bit steep for early adopters of a unit that was supposed to be da bomb. I know this is the way it goes, but something here doesn't sit well with me.
