soren noticed that the 2 inside heatsinks were not grounded. I don't think it makes any difference, but updated the board file to ground those heatsinks

Nope, chokes are too big. current regulated supply far superior.

Let's not forget the total pile of crap known as the Eddie current Electra. center tapped output inductors that saturate due to the DC problems at the input stage.

Lots of people changing the gain. Yes it's Rfeedback/Rground+1

Kerry was going to publish code soon

i'm pretty sure i was the first person to do an electrostatic amp with dual local feedback at the output stage which in the 1950's was called a composite amplifer. taking the original ges design and adding cascoded constant current sources at the output would definitely be an upgrade.

and now for something completely different part 3

that is the cast input. you remove the 1k resistor and ground the I+ and i- i will relabel as cast soon. i published the balanced output/cast board this morning. 2 input boards, 2 output boards, step attenuator and relay input/output board and you have a full unbalanced/balanced/cast input/output preamp -

jumper J1? on what? +/-24V is going to be pretty low for uber2. Should work, but much lower power. -

the balanced version is what is shown times 2. so the balanced input impedance would be 20k. -

jj (formerly tesla) tubes, no plate cap, so none of the NOS versions without modification sockets and really, a pentode as an otl output? sounds similar to rkv sure, why not. -
actually this amp is a V to I stage.

Roomba is an expensive toy. And then it breaks. Then the battery dies. Rinse and repeat. Very bad waste of $450. My dogs also don't like it.

Wells Audio amps....any experience?

I have a massive pile of silver mica caps, 50+ years old, still perfect. And an even bigger pile of .1% resistors, also 50+ years old, and definitely still perfect. but electrolytics over 10 years old are definitely a bad idea. -

congo5 wants me to make the output transistor mounting holes an additional .1 inch, so there will be another board rev. board will be .2 inches bigger, so might slightly influence price.

if JC actually believed they did any good, they would have been installed in the Blowtorch preamp. Or the Constellation Audio stuff. Or any of the other stuff he has designed. guess all the expensive dinners and a ride in the Bentley were all just a friendly thing. -
yep, that would work. definitely for next time.

pre-reg driver on the uber2 output board -
the coupler needs to be .25 inch on one side and 8mm on the other side. you will have to take a standard coupler and drill out one side.

output inductors means circuit is unstable. and the bybee stuff means the entire thing is a piece of crap.
