  1. I would make sure the comparitors are working as expected. .1hz sine wave makes it easy
  2. great way to do this, however some heatshrink over the green things to avoid touching the terminals which are at -500v
  3. not sure where to put this, this is Kerry's first take on a new bh power supply http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/boards/bh-ps-singlerail-v4.zip
  4. here is Kerry's code http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/oled_mhz15.zip this supports the original relay board, and the prototype new board, still some software change for the 4 reversed relays for the production board
  5. About 400ma DC, peaks up to 600+ma depending on headphones
  6. It won't. Name should resolve to the right place. this is all about massive amounts of hacking including spoofing, mainly from sites in mainland China. they never get into any of my machines, but they try so hard they are using up to 25% of our bandwidth doing nothing.
  7. at some point in the next couple of weeks, my server will be put behind a massive firewall. At which point the ip address will change and the dns will change. So it may appear to be down for up to a day.
  8. there is no 500v version of the carbon, current sources limited to 900v
  9. my bad on the mislabeling. Hey... people are supposed to check this stuff. updated board file in a minute.
  10. soren noticed that the 2 inside heatsinks were not grounded. I don't think it makes any difference, but updated the board file to ground those heatsinks
  11. Nope, chokes are too big. current regulated supply far superior.
  12. Let's not forget the total pile of crap known as the Eddie current Electra. center tapped output inductors that saturate due to the DC problems at the input stage.
  13. Lots of people changing the gain. Yes it's Rfeedback/Rground+1
  14. Kerry was going to publish code soon
  15. i'm pretty sure i was the first person to do an electrostatic amp with dual local feedback at the output stage which in the 1950's was called a composite amplifer. taking the original ges design and adding cascoded constant current sources at the output would definitely be an upgrade.
  16. that is the cast input. you remove the 1k resistor and ground the I+ and i- i will relabel as cast soon. i published the balanced output/cast board this morning. 2 input boards, 2 output boards, step attenuator and relay input/output board and you have a full unbalanced/balanced/cast input/output preamp
  17. jumper J1? on what? +/-24V is going to be pretty low for uber2. Should work, but much lower power.
  18. the balanced version is what is shown times 2. so the balanced input impedance would be 20k.
  19. jj (formerly tesla) tubes, no plate cap, so none of the NOS versions without modification sockets and really, a pentode as an otl output? sounds similar to rkv sure, why not.
  20. actually this amp is a V to I stage.
  21. http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/stepattenuator2.jpg fuck that's tiny
  22. Roomba is an expensive toy. And then it breaks. Then the battery dies. Rinse and repeat. Very bad waste of $450. My dogs also don't like it.
  23. a web page accessable by any device is what i really want. android or ios specific seems way too much work. then the touchscreen for those moments when you have to get out of the couch.
  24. Just got this information Pow Chu Moy passed away February 12, 2016 Very Sad.
  25. better to see the high speed electrons...
