Thanks for the encouragement guys. I pushed a little farther today. I was whipped when I stopped but I still felt good. And so far, no heart attack! Win!
I am jealous of you guys.
Since buying my Trek bike I've been making it a point to ride at least once every day. I am so overweight and out of shape that so far I have been limiting rides to 10-15 minutes in my local neighborhood. I try and stretch it a little bit more with each ride. I want to get my legs and breath back and am working slowly at getting there. At the end of each ride my legs feel like rubber, but I feel good when I finish. I'm keeping a positive attitude and making sure I get out there every day.
I will post sparingly here but will continue to follow the thread for inspiration.
Seriously? Guys standing around for most of three hours is interesting? (I kid).... I do love baseball though. You can fall asleep in the bottom of the second, wake up in the top of the eighth and still have an hour's worth of game to watch.
Did a butterflied boneless pork chop (split in two for Debbie and I) on the Weber and Brussel Sprouts on the side burner in cast iron with a metric fuckton of butter and a little olive oil to keep things from burning. No pics as we were too busy eating. And it was delicious if I do say so myself.
We did lamb pops on the Weber kettle with MikFoJo sauce. That's Mike, Forest and John sauce. We threw it together today with orange juice, olive oil, garlic, rosemary, honey and dark rum. We basted the lamb with this and it was pretty damned good.
