  1. LOL Brent, don't fuck with that shit. It'll kill ya. Are pinata's a thing at Mexican funerals? Cuz that would be cool. Seriously, get checked out or we will kick your ass. And be sad.
  2. That is one good looking steak sir.
  3. Fuck. Just fuck.
  4. You know you're welcome any time Colin. Just give us a bit of lead time.
  5. Three Floyd's ramen. Poached egg, seared bacon, braised mustard seed, pickled radish and scallions. It very much did not suck.
  6. Chili on corn bread waffles with finely shredded cheddar, over easy egg and fresh pico de gallo. It were delish. Oh, almost forgot - a glass of Bully from the Wine Dude. No suckage here.
  7. Our Non-Award Winning Chili, in preparation for chili and cornbread waffles tonight.
  8. Cool. Tell her to tell him that we love his product.
  9. My condolences Wayne.
  10. Grilled shrimp that were marinated in fresh lime juice and olive oil, then dusted with chili powder. Accompanied by gazpacho made from scratch. A nice Riesling and some crusty bread rounded things out quite nicely.
  11. Brindle girls are slightly evil, devious and yet the absolute most lovable. My condolences. I will never forget my brindle girl Gypsy, and Neko I'm sure will remain in your hearts forever.
  12. RIP Dick Wagner, guitarist extraordinaire. Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel and Alice Cooper all used his services. Queing up Rock and Roll Animal and Gabriel's first album to pay tribute. http://m.rollingstone.com/music/news/dick-wagner-guitarist-for-alice-cooper-and-lou-reed-dead-at-71-20140730
  13. I (and I believe others here) have been very happy with my Weber Genesis gas grill. But yeah, I'd love a Traeger. Or Green Egg. HC World problems.
  14. I'll trade you a chop for kimchi fried rice.
  15. Happy Birthday Todd! Have a great day.
  16. Final product.
  17. Potatoes in butter and olive oil with fresh rosemary. They will be joined by a couple of boneless pork chops seasoned with Butt Rub.
  18. Gene, you just made Debbie's eyes light up.
  19. All of the above. Fernando continues to impress. And Ferrari had better have Ricciardo on their map for the future. If they can build a car that suits his talent. They have not done so well as far as Fernando is concerned. Louis was awesome, especially considering a spin that could have easily broken his spirit. And I thought refusing team orders was 100% the right thing to do. Hell, Rosberg wasn't even pressuring him. If he was dogging Louis for several laps then I might have said OK, but dammit, this is a championship they are fighting for. Louis earned his position, it was up to Rosberg to take it from him. Great racing, and also great demonstrations of how safe these current F1 cars are. Bravo to that.
  20. Fresh cherries were available in Michigan, so I just pitted a pound and put them up for cocktail cherries. I will use these almost exclusively in Manhattans, so they are soaking in a simple syrup made with water and Turbinado sugar, to which was added 3/4 cup of Rittenhouse 100 rye and 1/4 cup Antica Carpano sweet vermouth. They are now cooling on the stove and will be jarred and refrigerated for sampling tomorrow night.
  21. Happy Birthday to my fellow F1 and Alonso fan. Have an awesome day Antonio!
  22. After an excellent starter for me of pork, sage and paprika soup and for Debbie an asparagus soup, we settled on this for lunch - duck livers and pickled green beans on the left and escargot on the right. All from Brewery Vivant. FYI. Escargot inspiration came from Alden. We'd never had it, and he had mentioned it this weekend. It was awesome.
  23. I've also been enjoying the season, but that comes with a caveat. The bits I've been enjoying have been the fights for 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. At the front? Not a lot going on there. It seems every time the FIA decide to improve the show, it just gets worse at the front. Even Alonso has said, yes, it was a great race, but not when you consider I'm fighting a Red Bull for 4th... I still say let them have any technology they want but eliminate all sophisticated aero. Let them have mechanical grip only and it will self-limit horsepower, and it will prove who the real drivers are. My 2 cents.
  24. I'm liking it. I ordered the 22mm pancake lens and have been messing about with both lenses. So far I've been pretty happy with my purchase. Thanks for the heads up.
