Post the last thing you bought!
Do you use a cooling fan with yours? I was shocked at how much heat the XB360 pumps out, and doing so without tubes no less. Using either a fan specifically designed for the Xbox or just about any portable fan pointed at the vents seems to help. Bought two "Front Of The Line" tickets to the Universal Studios Halloween night. Hopefully I wont meet any zombies there.

What did you do today?
OK, so it is hot tonight and I go out to the back yard to get things moved around to prepare for the lawn to be mowed tomorrow. I reach into a dark equipment pit we have in the back yard for a motorized cover. As I am working the switch to close the cover, out crawls a two foot long snake barely inches from my hand. I nearly soiled my trousers, nice way to start my long evening.

The analog thread.
Are you talking peanut oil as in cooking oil? Or is there some wood/carpenter variation? I have only been able to find cooking peanut oil.

JH Audio stuffs
Me neither. (-X3?) Have you tried other tracks of the same album but different editions of the music? Perhaps it was the recording itself? I have found my JH13's to have an excellent balance of mids and bass, not too forward on the treble or mids, bass not laid back but just right on the speed and prat. I have been "surprised" though when playing certain tracks I haven't listened to for a while that the instrument placement seems to have moved a bit or become less clear but always determined later that it was a version of a cd that I have multiple copies and releases of. Like some of the Coltrane and Monk stuff or a Norah Jones recording that Luis tweaked for me. Ultimately Larry it always comes down to "to each his own". I like 'em and feel they have good balance, you make prefer a different flavor. You can get a room full of us together listening to a MBL system and I would bet you would have a variety differing impressions. Worse yet get a bunch of HCers together in a room with a pair of Merlins playing and I am sure a brawl would break out. *shudders*

Running For St. Judes
Jim, what costume will you be wearing? Good luck to Wonder Woman Karen. Actually I think I saw another Wonder Woman last night while crossing Hollywood and Vine after the Phamtom Of The Opera show. Shouldn't she be resting for the race?

What are you listening to Part Two
What irony! I have been listening to Chic Corea (with John Mclaughlin) and Christian McBride Number Two Express for the last two days. I love Brian Blade, let me know if he plays In Spite of Everything and what you think of that song. I find it very moving and my perfect evening wind down tune. I am very envious Al, enjoy the evening.

'tis true Mike. Remember you will be coming from a region that experiences something like 63% humidity to a hotel that I swear gets no better than 16% humidity. I would recommend that you bring lots of moisturizer lest you wake up the next morning feeling like Tutankhamun.

To flux or not to flux ...
True dat, I have fluxed up many a soldering job using too much flux. I have only found the need though when soldering some internal wires to speaker terminals; some terminals just seem to refuse to be soldered.
