I'm going to pull a head-fi and recommend a headphone I've never heard but what about the alessandro ms-pro? You might be able to get something like the grado sound with out the sharp upper mids.

There is, and it's pretty good too. It's called "Chuck Close: A Portrait in Progress". They have it on netflix if you're interested. In fact netflix has a surprising amount of documentary titles on artists.

I just finished a documentary on the painter Chuck Close. It made me feel like i'm a total hack.

I like The Descent as well. It's not high on my list of best horror movies ever but you're right. It is one of the best horror movies to come out in a long time, next to Cloverfield. I just watched Slow Century, a documentary of the band Pavement. As much as I like the band the documentary sucks ass. Don't watch it.

My tube/mosfet hybrid amp gets really hot as well. Not hot enough to be painful to the touch, but very close. It freaked me out quite a bit before I knew it was normal.

well thanks guys. My tubes can't stop fagging off after reading this thread. Now the inside of my amp is coated in semen and santorum. well does anybody want to buy a slightly used mosfet/tube hybrid amp that is filled to the brim with cum and santorum? I give it a conservative 9.5/10 on the audiogon scale. Shall we start the bidding at 10 X 31000 dollars?

why do you care about a typo?

I am pretty thankful that it is just a tube. Considering that there is absolutely no chance of getting this amp repaired if something major does go wrong with it. However, for $300 this amp has been the best addition to my rig with out question.

Shit. The other channel faded out just a few minutes ago. I think it's safe to say that it's one of the tubes going out. Where do you guys order your tubes from?

Interesting however that wouldn't account for the fact that when I turn it off and then immediately turn it back on the left channel comes back for the rest of the listening session. I think JBLoud's answer of my amp being haunted is the most logical. Perhaps a haunted amp could fetch quite a price if I advertise it as such on Ebay.

Well it's been on for more than 10 minutes and it always fades out before then so that's a good sign. It doesn't happen every time so there still is a good chance that it will screw up in the next week.

ZOMG! I think he did! Well I think incineration may be the only thing to do now. But anyway, I swapped left and right channels so we'll see if the right side fades anytime soon... This makes me wish I knew anything about tubes.
