    RS1's?

God, every time I ask a question in a hope to come to a better understanding about audio gear I only get more confused and my ability to make a decision becomes more labored.
  2. They still sound like grados in every other way than the high end (some would argue the upper midrange). They are still very much a fast and forward sounding headphone just not as much as other grado offering. When I said it is lacking, I should have worded it better. I'm not saying that they're soft or dark, but not as fast as other grados.

    RS1's?

If i do buy a pair I will give you first dibs on my pair of ms2i's. If you're serious I'll let you know as soon as I'm sure the RS1's are for me.

    RS1's?

the current price of the HP2 is offensively vulgar. I'd buy a pair if they were still under a grand.

    RS1's?

that's good to know reks. I do listen to a lot of orchestral and chamber music. Most music I listen to is rock though. I haven't found a great headphone that I've liked with classical. I've owned a pair of HD600's and 650's but I really never got into them all that much. They are much better with classical than my MS2i's but not enough to warrant my keeping them. Granted it may be my gear that sullied my experience with the senns, but I'm not one to build a rig around a pair of headphones that will never be good for but one type of music. EDIT: I will also definitely be buying a used pair when one comes up for sale here or at the other place.

    RS1's?

I sell stuff, regret it and then buy it back more than I'd like to admit. though they are similar headphones in some ways, the MS2i is way more laid back than is grado sibling.

    RS1's?

I came into some money recently and I'm considering the purchase of a pair of RS1's. My currently favorite headphone is the MS2i. I live in a town where I can't audition them with out traveling around an hour and a half which I don't want to do. In your opinion do you think I'll benefit from this upgrade?
  8. I have a pair of MS2i's that have been recabled with cardas silver cable. I agree with most of the opinions here on them. To me they are really smooth but are slightly lacking on the top end. I don't find the midrange to be lacking and I couldn't tell you if that's because of the recable or if it's just my ears. The low end is, like everybody says is their strongest suit. They are not bass heavy like some find the upper tier senns but have a ton of punch to them with what is to the right about of bass. Listening to Bjork on them is heavenly.

  21. post jack, don't you have a stove at your house or do you plan on using it at work? I have tried using a plastic electric kettle and the rubber seals to add taste to the water. I find it unacceptable. You could just buy a real kettle and a hotplate though. French press coffee is way better than drip in my opinion.
  22. I watched crimes and misdemeanors and noticed that frances conroy, ruth from 6 feet under was an extra in it. It was weird seeing her 20 years younger.
