the woo stuff was awesome, especially the 5. Probably the best I heard my 225s ever. I cant really comment on it with the CD3000s since they sound so weird to me. I tried the lower end stuff (woo 6? woo 3?) but I wasnt THAT impressed. It was a good amp but I've heard better, especially at that price point.

ugh, the battery life of this laptop sucks so much. I guess I'll have to upgrade to a 9 cell battery soon.

oh and I won a pair of Senn PX250s for $15. Theyre pretty damn good for listening on a bus. Get rid of a lot of outside noise without screwing up the sound that much. and K1000 + Woo 5 = amazing. Definitely the best rig I heard at the meet. One problem I had was that the highs were a little peaky but it wasnt that noticible in most songs. and the ES-1 + HE90 = awesome. Last meet I thought they were really boring, but this time, since I guess my ears got better, they portrayed the most realistic sound that I've heard coming from a headphone.

i went to circuit city, and they had a nice thinkpad R61i for like 30% off, around 700 with rebates. I needed the computer quickly so I just got this one. but vista is a piece of shit, slows down everything. Gotta go reformat to XP asap! (yes, I know linux is better)

nothing new to report on this end. Pico sounded damn good. Ian's modded HF-1s were probably the best non-vintage grado I've heard so far. Nate's balanced mini32 was pretty nice for what it is, but the 650s out of them were begging for more. The Woo Audio stuff was great. The new Singlepower stuff looks completely different then their older amps casewise and sounds a lot cleaner then the older tube stuff. Upstateguy's M3 built by thrice (the orange LED was an easy giveaway) was probably my favorite amp that I could actually afford at that meet. They drove my grados beautifully.

dont forget the better bass on the HF-1 compared to the 225s, especially with flats

Hows the R61 series for levonos? I'm and about those laptops. (Yes, I got a reason to use those smileys)

I was already looking at the refurbed levonos, but all the decent T series got sold and I think the small screen of the X series is gonna frustrate me.
