  1. i have the gs-1 with dynalo plus and it is great match with the HD800. Yes, the Dynahi is even better. You can really feel higher sense of power behind every note.
  2. GS-1 with Dynalo plus modules from Justin?
  3. Pure awesomeness! I may need to get it just to try it out. I love the small foot print as my Susy is huge. The PSU doesn't appear to be a Sigma 22?
  4. Thanks Birgir. Wonder what's the gain setting would be? 20? My SuSy Dynahi has a gain setting of 6 or 8 (can't remember) and it proves to be very flexible at driving anything including the Qualia all the way to HEK.
  5. I prefer a different kind of "hot twins" but yeah, the T2 & BHSE will fulfill my auditory fantasy for now.
  6. The Yggy is the real deAl and no hype needed. Price wise, it is a steal imo.
  7. Posted this picture awhile back...sorry for not having a better picture.
  8. They are indeed very popular. I share your feeling about the LC but many thinks that they do sound great given its form factor (most have not listened of better sounding amps). Then again it is better sounding than a more expensive gear such as the Questyle CMA600i. Not saying much I know but I will take my HR Ultra Desktop & GS-1 w/ Dynalo + over the Carbon anytime. I also like the sound of the Senn HDVD-800 as well as the OPPO HA-1 better than the Liquid Carbon.
  9. I am sad because I won't have the LC to directly compared to the LG when that time come. I have been wanting to sell it for several months now but keep forgetting to do it.
  10. I may have that opportunity in couple of weeks. Sadly, I'm sure how long I will keep my Liquid Carbon.
  11. Its a big hit...and definitely overly hyped. I still take my Headroom Ultra Desktop over it...
  12. Very nice! He gotta be very happy to receive this amp.
  13. Talked to their rep today and their new 4K Blu-ray should be out at the end of the year. No replacement plan for the Oppo HA-1.
  14. Actually, you maybe right. I love the BHSE so much due to its unsurpassed build quality. However, I know that Mulveling could really give it a good home for me. Also, the T2 does get hot and Atlanta can be quite warm in the summer. I remember having both the T2 & BHSE on together and they did warm up my small listening room. Thanks for confirming that. I really love the Carbon and I hope to be able to keep it too.
  15. I hope you will get your KGSSHV Carbon soon. It is quite a great sounding amplifier. My unit has the Golden Reference PSU but the audio boards are of earlier version.
  16. I have been pretty happy with my Yggy and Carbon/BHSE/T2 combo...but I also have a tube CD/SACD players in the past that also work equally well in the front end of the amps. Hence my thought about using a tube front end instead of a tube preamp in front of the amps. I think Birgir used to have APL Denon 3910 at one point and it also have a tube output stage.
  17. The same person who built mine and also the same one who built two working DIY T2s as well as a balanced HEV90.
  18. Birgir, You can say all you want but don't call Mulvelling a "retard". He is a brilliant guy and even a better person if you actually know him. We can agree to disagree but calling someone a retard when he simply beg to differ from your point of view and this case a matter of sonic preference is just a little too far.
  19. That's great news. Glad that I already have a PS3 ripper so I don't have to hunt down these other players!
  20. Well..it isn't that bad in term of location. I used to be able to get a reception with AT&T. I'm extremely pleased with their pricing policy but the coverage can be spotty in some areas.
