Putting the drivers into a different headband assembly would cause them to fit differently. Fit has a huge impact on sound.

That does look pretty cool. How old are those parasound units? I like the description, but it sounds like something where I'd be screwed if it broke. The Cal Audio wouldn't have been any better for that, but it is half the cost. I think swt61 had a parasound unit at some point, but I'm not sure if it was this particular model.

I must have heard the SR-Lambda, because I don't remember a recessed midrange. I quite liked them... very K340 like in many ways.
