  1. Maybe a good opportunity to change STTH512FB to STTH512FP, I just googled the first part again Edit: Can the SiC also be jammed into the simpler BHSE supply?
  2. I thought the original KGSSHV supply was good to 90ma with 3904s? Offboarding is a welcome addition though
  3. I'll look into that as an option as well, does that require messing with some of filament traces on the board? Also I have some CT's on the edcor transformers. I assume I can ground these everywhere except the floating filaments?
  4. Yeah I just try to buy the I/O capacity I need since the cost is exponential when it comes to proper connectors Did you bother trying to compare AC and Dc heating? Sonically that is
  5. Anyone besides Birgir opt for DC filaments in the front end? I'm having a bit of trouble fitting that last transformer into the case and one of the options is to upgrade from 7 to 8 pins on the umbilical, and route 6V.3@~1.8A or [email protected]. I can also route the filaments via AC if I upgrade to 9 pins. Wondering what you guys were using for regulators. Just sold a pair of Millett regulators to Frank, so I'm in the market
  6. Thanks for that tidbit, I think it and the Lamda Sig are destined for office use at this point

For 350V it's not SUPER important. It gets hot but nothing crazy, some feet and some clearance from each face served me well for up to 8-10 hours at a time.
  8. maybe you should put the Chord Hugo in your butt and attenuate the diarrhea that you are posting

you're still cool in my book even if my book is more akin to a pamphlet
  10. Speaking of useless hardware, has anyone looked into anodized/colored screws? My Megatron is so black I have to spend a few seconds looking around for screws, figured it might be a (not so) cheap cosmetic upgrade, plus it'll make me feel less blind. found some vendors: http://www.probolt-usa.com/aluminium/aluminium-bolts-socket-cap.html http://www.fastener-express.com/metric-aluminum-socket-head-cap-screws.aspx prices are insane, not all that surprised anymore. Anyone found anything else?
  11. sounds good, I can send you any extras that bay area throws my way if you want Are they worth using in the NFB preamp too?
  12. That would imply your chord hugo is good

I like the DAC output ideas, but I also like those cases sell me all of them plox
  14. That's the one I was looking at originally, maybe it's time to put in a order. Need some BHSE supplies anyway

ECP as in ECP audio dac?
  16. I have the standard linear stuff, it's just a bit on the large side for the case I pictured earlier. Also more difficult to disassemble than I first thought. Oddly enough I can probably fit some 7x15 -> Jung regulator inside. I agree though, for the prices at which you can get used all-in-one linears they're almost no brainers. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-One-HAA15-0-8-A-Regulated-Linear-Power-Supply-HAA1508A-12-OR-15VDC-5VDC-/141677351787?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20fca0d36b Careful getting these shipped though, they're as dense as they look...as are the people shipping them
  17. ok good I'm not going crazy. Anyways in the picture I stole from somewhere else in the thread spritzer's got RN60's everywhere. I think you'll be fine, most of the stuff isn't going to see 300V
  18. Aren't rn60d derated 1/2w parts? Or am I thinking of something else
  19. Do they ship internationally? I can't beat that size
  20. Maybe a bit late, but what made you want to use the cardas XLRs in particular?
  21. 420 USD lol you can find used 507s for like 30-70 more, how silly can things get I assume removing this spacer is reversible? I think outside of the yoke it's the same as the 009 headband, these old headbands slide around too much
  22. How would they sell them without giving away an accompanying amplifier? unrelated, where do I find a 507 headband? Can I fit these onto the Lamda Sig/Sigma Pro?
  23. allow me, all I do is post bullshit anyway I already spammed the gilmore design portfolio like 4x over
  24. I found two cases (after purchasing my parts) out there that will fit probably all of the parts into one chassis with reasonable ease. It's still an off the shelf affair: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FULL-aluminum-large-size-chassis-amplifier-case-DIY-enclosure-BOX-438-182-390mm-/261853624433?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf7b13871 http://www.ebay.com/itm/FULL-aluminum-amplifier-chassis-enclosure-post-amp-case-enclosure-330-240-470-mm-/251921743239?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa7b4bd87 I don't know how much larger your board got but this is probably big enough to do either PCB or P2P for the amplifier section. The heatsink in the back seems like a good choice for offboarding the power supply/supplies. Pretty sure the surface area is big enough to not have to resort to putting components on the bottom face, and the side panels seem reasonably thick. Bit on the ugly side, maybe they'll do it up in black as an option
