Pick on? And this coming from the guy who likes to call people fags for fun. Seriously. I'm actually giving you good advice. You're talking about only two headphones, not like you're trying to narrow things down from a list of ten. You know about both the HD800s and K7000s enough to have short-listed them, which means you've already read enough about them to have done that. Starting a thread asking for "tips" from users either tells me that you needs to learn how to read better, or that you're lazy and want others to spoon feed you. You said would buy from a store, which means you can probably listen to them. These are high-end, and rather expensive headphones. It is truly stupid to not just go and do that if you're trying to decide for yourself. I'm also going to suggest you not be a whiny asshole here. You're exactly one whiny asshole post away from us not wanting you around here either, at least not having to read your posts. Re-read your welcome pm, this time with your comprehension hat on.

Shure SRH840 - early listen
I prefer the ESW9s. Don't get me wrong, I think these are decent headphones for the price, definitely good all-rounders. I have them at home with me until Friday, so I'm going to listen for a bit longer. Right now, there's something bugging me about the upper mid-range that just doesn't sound right, like I want to it stop announcing itself.

They're the junior version. I needed something small for work.

I have no idea why that's amusing me as much as it is, but I love it. I might steal it.

A2s. According to FedEx tracking, they're in MT now, and should be at my home on the 24th.

Okay, I'm beginning to not understand this thread in the same way I don't understand the Wavelength WaveLink Asynchronous USB to thingamaboppie thread. Bah.

Shure SRH840 - early listen
Well, Dusty's right: I'm spoiled and rather like it, except when I have a hard time enjoying things that others are clearly enjoying. He's also right that I don't listen to my crappy car system, radio included, except for occasional NPR, because the sound irritates me to no end. I'm just not in my car long enough in a day to justify throwing money that direction. I really hope the audioengines work out. Not sure what to do if not.

Shure SRH840 - early listen
I got mine today and sold them an hour later. I think they're quite nice for the price, and will recommend them, but I really can't listen to them. A co-worker fell in love with them, though, so that was that. Win-win.

Why would you ask people online when you have the option of going and hearing the two for yourself? That's just stupid.

What did you do today?
Aimless1, that's just weird. Doesn't a medical examiner have to declare things and whatnot before a funeral home can scoop you up, or did I watch too much tv as a kid?

Post the last thing you bought!
Dusty, let me know how you like them. I'm expecting mine in the next couple days.

SoFla Winter Meet 12/5/09
Ken, I already have John staying with me and I told Colin he could crash here as well. I could make room, but I live about 40 minutes from the meet and will probably stay in the hotel at least on Sat.

The analog thread.
Sure. I'll just lurk.

ipod speakers
I just ordered the A2s from OneCall for $170 (open box), and the little stands for $30. Should have them sometime this coming week. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Hopefully this will do it for me.

From what I've read, though, you can easily connect your ipod, no?
