The power has been out in my house since 11:30PM on Wednesday. National Grid restored power to every other house on my street except for mine, then moved their trucks out of the area. Their website says the outage is "fixed." There will me no show tomorrow. ...and probably no show ever again my because my future plans involve becoming a super villain and burning all of New England to the fucking ground.

The OP who posted the two above photos made a comment on switching to a low back chair greatly improved the imaging of his system. I surmise the cream chair is his old one.

I wonder what is that big silver component in the middle. I don't think it's a piece of audio equipment.

This happened a while ago, but I just found out about it. In the 90s I attended Landmark College in Putney, VT. We used to go for "drives" around the Vermont hills and uh, sample the Vermont green. Occasionally we'd pass "the art property" which was a farm that had some massive metal sculptures on it. This lead to some "whoa, dude" moments. Apparently the sculptor died earlier this year at the ripe old age of 87. One of his works is going to be moved to the Landmark campus, which is pretty neat: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/25/arts/charles-ginnever-dead.html

I have a Logitech wireless keyboard/trackpad combo. It was under $20. It uses a tiny USB dongle and I get a great range with it. My Mini is across the long axis of my bedroom (maybe 15') and in a closet with the door half open. The Logitech's trackpad is nowhere as good as an OEM Apple one, but what is? The Nvidia Shield is a big long in the tooth these days, but it is by far the best Android TV box. I almost bought one before I got the Mini.

A refurb'd Mac Mini. It has a real OS, works with all streaming services, can do light big screen gaming if you GAF, and can access all of your local data as well. /not the answer you were looking for, but it's the conclusion I reached.
