The geforce optimizer stuff is pants on head retarded at times, sometimes it comes up with sane settings, and then sometimes it'll cause a game to need twice my actual vram, or want to crank stuff up to the point a game drops to 30fps. I may have to go against my usual desire to play games in order and just skip to Witcher 3 when it gets cheap enough. I've tried twice to play through Witcher 1 and it just is such a complete slog to get through.

So glad to be free of shouty mcshoutface though, the remaining cast has a lot more room to grow to build a suitable replacement to the previous top gear.

Having experienced being repeatedly logged out, I think I've found what the problem may be, at least for some. The site only wants to log in while on https, for me, but the header link, and possibly other links elsewhere, go to normal http and lead to the appearance of not being logged in anymore. In the limited testing I've done tonight, manually going to the address bar and making it https fixes it. Even mid-post just now I've tested it. Click the head-case banner in a new tab, I show as not logged in. Add https:// on the address bar in that new tab, then I am logged in.

I got bored being too far ahead on Azure Coast in Project Cars and decided to turn around and ram Grahame, which got me DQed. But it did let me catch this shot of Brent stealing a road sign:

I was fairly far ahead in that race but Brent said to come back and play, so I turned around and crashed into Brent head-on. Got DQed but so worth it.

Took out both Brent and Grahame with the "Counter-Grahame" move on the last race tonight.

Even though I already played up to NG+2 in Dark Souls, I've rolled a new character to have yet another go at it. Going with a light armor (<25% equip load) dex/pyro build for mobility and quick strikes, and using parry and backstab a lot more often. As opposed to my original run with mostly heavy armor, high vit, str/dex halberd build where I just turtled and poked the enemies from outside their optimal range. This is a lot of fun so far, though it requires staying more alert than with a tankier build.

In other words, it's a Bethesda game. They really need to find a new writer.

I decided to play through Dark Souls since I've been fairly sick lately and would have more patience to get past the learning curve. I finally understand the hype around the series, and it's immensely satisfying to go from struggling to get past the basic enemies to becoming a silent specter of death.

Kevin has a beavis and butthead mode, that alone is enough to make my day.

Round is overrated anyways.
