Un-Believable Rock/Metal Piano Covers
Loving Master of Puppets, on a real piano In the comments she says she'd just broken a string. I've beat the hell out of some pianos in my day and never managed to do that, jealous.

What's your Myers-Briggs Type Indicator?
"Better" test, same results: Introverted (I) 74.29% Extroverted (E) 25.71% Sensing (S) 60% Intuitive (N) 40% Thinking (T) 60% Feeling (F) 40% Perceiving (P) 65.63% Judging (J) 34.38% Probably part of my personality that I hate the shades of grey vs. yes or no questions. I was so afraid I was going to fuck up the results and not be a good driver (or motorcyclist as my description entails. How does one become a professional at that?)

Say a Prayer for Levon Helm
I own it on vinyl and have listened many times, and flip to FLACs's regularly. And it's Scorcese. But if I'd seen it I would have surely registered his status.

Say a Prayer for Levon Helm
Just now (through Youtube) realized the guy was a drummer/lead singer. Wow, mad respect. How have I never actually seen The Last Waltz? WTF?

Happy 90th Birthday Posterboy!
Would be better if you'd joined just to say that. To push some semantics, they're all based on I Am Legend, the novel by Richard Matheson. So calling it a remake of Omega Man or Last Man On Earth ends up sounding silly.

Happy 90th Birthday Posterboy!
Posterboy. Dude joined in 2008, went to all the trouble of creating a profile and uploading a tremendously unflattering picture just to tell us about the 1964 Vincent Price version of I Am Legend. I remember when I saw his post, in 2008, and saId, 'Damn that's one unflattering picture'. Still he's lookin good for 90. Cheers.

The Homebrew Thread
I like the PO'd. The peat flavor in beer is odd so it takes a bit of a paradigm shift, I tend to think of Lagavulin while I'm drinking, it makes sense in that context. Truly superb brewing rig there. My meager equipment is pretty well set except for the chest freezer I'm going to need very soon. Other than that just a cheap cooler, 10 gallon aluminum pot, badass dual jet propane burner and glass carboys.

Distilling is fairly illegal in the states on a small scale, but brewing and winemaking are open game. Any decent city has a homebrew shop or three.

The Homebrew Thread
Trying to push through a tight brewing schedule till May 15th, when I retire everything for the really hot months. The Scotch Ale gets a properly awesome name now. Full lineup of bottled beer by August: PO'd Peated and Oaked Scotch Ale. 7% Mostly Rye Stout 10% Seriously Oak Aged Rye Stout 10% Matt The Younger Tripel IPA 10% And for the next crazy bullshit: Schwartz Kirsche Bock, AKA Black Cherry Bock. Making a strong black lager in the tradition of a schwartzbier but cranked to 9%, Cherry juice will be added after primary fermentation, and I'm splitting the batch with an oaked sour cherry variation.

Top Gear
Yep they said goodbye for the series on the 7th episode, not counting the India special. Well rounded and not as stale as some previous seasons. Haven't seen the best of episodes yet but I'm sure I've seen the original bits enough.

More Hipster Than Though, the obscurity pissing contest.
Umm, yeah it's 'cool' to make yourself listen to Zappa even though he sucks. The opposite stigma is attached to Dan, and they still suck.

Senn HD700 Preview. $1000
I read Six Moons long enough to get to the Acoustic System Resonator Review. Scroll down to the picture of a stupid tiny block of wood with some metal hanging out of it, sitting on the dash of his minivan. He also claims that the zen master who created the things placed them in his engine compartment and 'tuned' the car for better performance. In a revisited review he went further, bringing the master into his home. He put them in the fridge and claimed some serious BS, and all over the house, taking it way beyond audio application. You are correct, dude who believes in his planet alignment isn't going to tell me much about sound.

Making a Head-Case Wine?
I used oak spirals from The Barrel Mill for my homebrew. Very effective and quick. http://www.infusionspiral.com/

Top Gear
I've passed it but haven't been to it, my uncle lives right down the road. Southern drag strips don't hold much fascination for me. The dirt track in Ruskin is an amazing spectacle, used to hear it from my house so I had to go check it out a few times. Loved the semi-apology for the India special. Good to know they're not totally losing it. That whole "knowing you have a problem" thing.

Whitney Houston dead at age 48
Informative video there. I take it you were making a large donation before you mislinked? R.I.P. Whitney Houston. Hopefully your kids make it out normal and don't get themselves another reality show.

Most vigorous ferment yet on this one. Needs to drop 85 points from the OG to not be a sticky sweet mess. Go Achouffe yeasts!

A Bay Area Meet on 2-11-12.
Eh if missing an IPA I've had twice before was really bothering me then I'd need some better problems. Just giving my friends an excuse to get hammered.
