Too much bass out of the 007A Mk2 with the Carbon? I thought it really fleshed them out down low where they could use a bit more and tighter bass. I use an Ygg as a DAC so perhaps we have chain deltas and/or different tastes, purk. HS

Ditto on a dynalo plus paired with the Senn's but mine are 650's as I prefer a warmer sound sig. You can get great value for money if that is one's preference. There is no arguing the headphone market has heated up, but that was inevitable with the advent of the cellular phone, higher capacity memory and growing streaming options. Shit happens... HS

The Ether stats must have improved A LOT since I last listened to them to be worth the climb. The good thing is that you and anyone else in the room gets to enjoy your music...at about the same volume you do. HS

The Mr. Speakers are loud as hell if you're sitting next to someone listening to them. I've never heard anything nearly that loud before...might as well have a radio in the room. Hopefully they've improved their efficiency and the sound signature. I couldn't believe how high I had to crank my KGSSHV Carbon (450v) to get them to make a good bit of sound. In a way it was damn impressive how inefficient the beta's I listened to were... HS

It's a shame that so often the response is some unobtainium pair of cans that are not only are pricey but would prove difficult to service should a problem arise. Not going down that path anymore. I'll stick with very good at the risk of missing out on someone else's nirvana. 007A's out of a Carbon, HD650's out of a Headamp GS-1 dynalo+, and my TH900's out of a Woo WA7 w/ some upgraded tubes all fed by an Ygg. Nothing crazy but each one makes me smile and 99% is good enough. Must be strong... I'll save the self-flagellation for my race car...LOL HS

The GS-1 with the dynalo+ boards upgrade does great with the HD650's. I'm curious about this dynahi but I need it about as much as I need another car... The price point sure does look sexy for what it appears to be.... HS

My personal experience is that the ygg does a very nice job, and more importantly I get far more effect swapping transducers and amplifiers if I am chasing improvement and/or change. Just my two bits. HS
