  1. That would yield a good number of frogs...
  2. Cobble Hill
  3. Norton Malbec. It's okay.
  4. It seems that rapid fanboy lynch mobs are somewhat effective, at for example getting EBay to unlist many of Nelson Pass' projects..
  5. Poking around for a good amaro cocktail or two for tonite. Any favs?
  6. Is there any sort of standard connector for DSD output (specifically 3-wire, DSDR, DSDR and DSDCLK)? I'm thinking of using a 5-pin Lemo. No way I can fit a bunch of BNC connectors either.
  7. Or Jacob's M4, depending on how involved you want the process to be..
  8. My dad is over there right now...
  9. 5 is exactly what I was going to guess. I remember listening to the K1000 at full blast and it was just loud enough. I also remember using the F5 which has gain just less than 6 with the K1000 and thinking the same. Not at all related to this amp in any form or fashion, just wanted to have a baseline. Thanks!
  10. Why don't you answer my question then? If we are going to have the measurement proof debate, let's have it.
  11. Let me challenge you for a second here. Are there any commercial headphone amp companies that provide distortion numbers that are the result of measurement equipment that would be considered industry standard? How many of these companies own a AP for example? To stretch a point to make a point, I wonder how Headamp would substantiate the distortion numbers on their electrostatic amplifiers?
  12. just for my reference, what is the gain approximately for this amplifier?
  13. So, why haven't you posted there in 2 years? Oh, and..... (well, I cannot include a direct link, but...) http://www.diyaudio....rs/cfcubed.html
  14. I like 5:1. That's the magic I've found. I love this one,
  15. Link please! Takacas perhaps?
  16. I think I've found a market for the Dorkstar. It's mil-spec, of course: http://www.google.com/patents?id=UZzxAQAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q&f=false
  17. Don't worry, we have even more base and vile posts that aren't available to Google and HR departments around the world.
  18. Yes! You can get away with a 4-pin connector on a headphone, sure.. it's the amplifier I was referring to.
  19. What about accommodating bridged amps? I am the genesis of the 5-pin standard!
  20. Anyone remember digi01?
  21. I prefer virtual grounds myself.
  22. Team 5-pin XLR represent! Must not omit the ground! Then you can add a 5-pin to mini stereo converter to the mix!
  23. I like Brian a lot. I had no idea he was involved here. Any details?
  24. What about a 400W class A buffer, 4-wire of course?
  25. The new Svetlana stuff is trash. Get the early 90s tubes.
