  1. They will be coming in slightly less than I expected, so I'll pick up the PayPal fees, so don't figure that into the cost. Closed.
  2. Playing with these four ingredients. Lots of potential here...
  3. Heh Also, I'd take some Stax pins in trade if anyone has a bunch of those lying around...
  4. final cut, added a bottom silk and notation for which side is which. Also, the hole for the pins just fits the larger diameter on the pin surface. The reason is, sometimes the nuts come loose and I wanted to push the board down onto the nuts to prevent this from happening. Also, it gives more material to solder to. This is different than say how the T2 boards work, in which the hole diameter is the smaller of the pin diameters.

  7. This. Interesting. What did you think of The Springbank choice Al?
  8. Ok, ready to go. Looking at $3.50 each, and $2 worldwide shipping. I'm going to close the order in 24 hours from now (tomorrow night).
  9. Cannot speak to interest, but here are the ones I'd use: http://www.cardas.com/images/oem/PDF_DRAWINGS/GRFADBLPRT.pdf
  10. ... Any chance you could stick this on your input selector board, before the volume control board, with perhaps the Cardas stacked RCA PCB mount connector? That would be a pretty slick deal.
  11. I listened to it with Grados, at Dallas meet and was pretty impressed. For whatever reason, the Senns did not seem to really impress me, compared the other amps at the meet (Dynahi specifically). I would love the chance to reevaluate though.
  12. If I liked Grados, I'd probably own this amp.
  13. I used the same thing in my phono pre. I have to agree. I'm starting to think that phono pre is really one of the best places for these ICs. I still have some tweaking to do but I'm getting real close. Congrats though! Have you looked that the THAT 1200/3/6? Edit: one more question, I assume that this doesn't tolerate any DC on the input?
  14. It's pretty common for security related reasons.
  15. I have a feeling I would need a decent sized savings account before I could move to SF. I know HP has issues retaining people based on salary in our sister security divisions in the Bay Area. I just don't trust a lot of the numbers I see online about COLI and median household incomes and just don't have a good feel for what it would really take to move... Still, I'd love to make it work at some point.
  16. Bonal and Rye
  17. I really like the Vya Extra Dry. I going to see if I can find a smaller bottle of the Vya sweet and also a bottle of Bonal tomorrow
  18. Jim, can you also comment on the similarities if they exist? I'm other words, are any near equivalents? Me just killed the bottle of Torino. Shelly, any further thoughts on the Vya sweet vermouth? (I know it's likely been a while)
  19. My only issue would be whether or not 10mA collector current really needs the device to be heatsinked, especially with positive tempco device such as BJTs. My experience is yes, in order to get good matches. If you are talking about to-92 device you might be okay..
  20. This. As good as the Ritt 25 manhattan was, this is no slouch of a cocktail. The Vintage Bourbon works very nice here.
  21. Ritt 25, Cocchi Torino Manhattan
  22. I wouldn't count on it matching. I have had bad luck with this... I'll post some pics in a few weeks of the project when it's done and I think it's quite noticeable.
  23. 1mA and 10mA Ib ranges are likely useless to you. Think about what devices you'll be matching and their hfe and then the target collector current. Then report findings back
