  1. Funny you mention that. I bartended over the weekend and probably make 20 of those. That, and the Communist were by far my most popular drinks. I did some playing around with the Derby and found that the Napoleon works well in it, in fact that's the only drink I really prefer it in so far. For bourbon, most people preferred Blanton's, compared to the other things I had on hand. Anyways, I was surprised it was so popular, in fact a few people asked to taste the ingredients seperately, and they said that the Cocchi and PeM was the subtle flavor that they really liked in the drink.
  2. a new bike on my birthday! I like it so far, but the seat is really a pain. I think it was Vicki that at some point mentioned a similar problem. I think I might have to adjust it back a bit or something, as it was really hurting after about a 30 minute ride...
  3. What's the general consensus regarding the suitability of a screw terminal connector for this jack? My sensibilities and the data sheet make me think it's a bad idea, but who knows...
  4. My question still stands. I thought it was clearly stated and non-antagontistic.
  5. The Griottines don't have a sweet flavor, they taste very raisin-like to me.
  6. Wasn't the Lowther Field Coil there?
  7. The Springbank CV can best be described as "confusing". Still, worth the cash for me though.
  8. Larry, have you considered that difference in source output voltage, as well as whether or not SE or balanced inputs were utilized could debunk some of your findings?
  9. Will do! I have been meaning to post this, but Deus cognac isn't bad for $20. I'm curious how the Brillet compares. I haven't had the vatted Springer in years. I did enjoy the Longrow CV, so I'm hoping this one is OK.
  10. Walked away paying $70 for these. Wanted plenty of stuff, but hoping these will serve as 'well mixers'
  11. Jim, what a beautiful drink! With the Americano, is it really just a splash of soda? I think it could work served more in a highball fashion.
  12. Pink Gin, served 'out' with Gran Classico as the bitter and served with a twist.
  13. Lack of W4S components at his house already? Things always sound better when your invested in them I find.
  14. So, hosting a dead-Bond themed shin-dig, and looking for a cocktail menu to support. Here's what I have.... any other Bond cocktail references, or obvious "dead cocktails"? Vesper Martini (Casino Royale) Vodka Martini (Dr. No) Scotch and Soda (very popular, not sure what to reference here though) Vodka Tonic (Dr. No) Gin and Tonic (On HMSS) Americano (From a View to Kill) Old-Fashioned (Live and Let Die) Stinger (Thunderball) Mojito (Die Another Day) Black Velvet (Diamonds are Forever) Negroni (?) Pink Gin (The Man with the Golden Gun) Mint Julep (Goldfinger) Rum Collins (Thunderball) Zombie Corpse Reviver #2 others?
  15. do you include the headphone cable as well?
  16. Even more terrifying are free-range "titular super robots*" that drink! * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltron
  17. Yeah, but you're kinda scary being a monkey and all... so I'm not sure if the feeling would have been mutual
  18. well-played
  19. Spent the today filing patent disclosures, for things that ultimately will be retained as trade secrets. Meh.
