  1. no one? it's rather sexy. There's also the INT-50A now which is dreamy...
  2. probably got drunk and experimented with a viola
  3. I played the Kreisler piece many moons ago, but not the Vitali. I think I have many months to get back up to speed, it's like my brain and body don't connect right and everything feels awkward and I'm hyper sensitive about old nagging problems (raised right shoulder and neck resting on the lower part of the left thumb). I'm sure it will come back
  4. trying to pull and all nighter at the moment. I have to get a whitepaper in for this first conference talk by Friday afternoon. I've resigned to the fact that this isn't going to be my best work :/
  5. I travelled with mine over the break and loved it. I will retain my statement about more attention to detail than the Oxx bags. Everything is really well done and well layed out. The upgraded strap is very nice as well, definitely the best shoulder strap I've ever used. Also, it looks decent when on the back as well using the shoulder straps. I'd say it's a good 3-4 days worth of clothes and no more though. All in all, it's really nice. Vicki, it takes a bit of patience to install the pulls on the zippers. If you want, I can do it for you in SF, but it's not too hard to figure out.
  6. Had anyone heard the Pass INT-150?
  7. I played Vocalise, but is the Heifetz arrangement different? I don't think I could handle those double stops in the Valse. I love that piece though. I found a piece the other day that is appropriate for me, that I had not heard until today... It's Wieniawski Mazurka Obertass... Its a fun little piece, easy though..
  8. Infinity comes in different sizes. We'll have to get Shelly to explain it
  9. Well, it turned out okay, for a first attempt:
  10. are those DMOS devices?
  11. this. It seems to take even more skill in choosing ingredients, IMHO, case in point the above.
  12. Another Fogcutter, hold the cherry stuff and float R&W Apricot. This is very nice!
  13. See what I did there Beefy?
  14. Again, I used 1 cup ice. I'm not sure the recommended ice to booze ratio for these types of drinks...
  15. Shelly, I'd think that wouldnt work. The result would be too bitter.
  16. Authentic Austin Sweet and Sour Mix 1/2 tsp Chef Adam Gonzales Sweet and Sour Mix from the Live Music Capital of the World 1 oz water Stir. Makes 1 oz mix The Fogcutter 1 oz white rum 1/2 oz gin 1/2 oz brandy 1/2 oz sweet and sour mix 1/4 oz simple syrup Combine with ice and blend. Float cherry brandy on top (added two dashes of cherry bitters to the blender and garnished with a cherry)
  17. Hm, I'm not sure I'd agree 100%, although I see what you're getting at. I'd say there is a clear division in this case. The transport is responsible for digital transmission and the DAC for digital reception. The assumption is that there is a two box solution here and a cable between the two devices. But yes I see your point about jitter, so carry on
  18. Wouldn't it be more interesting to perform the same test with two different transports, or am I missing the point of this thread?!
  19. Didn't you get banned recently from HF? What happened?
  20. I'm going to attempt to make some bread. I figured I'd start off with the simplest approach possible with something that uses my new dutch oven. I'm going to try this: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/08/dining/081mrex.html?_r=1
  21. Ok, 1.5 oz Plantation and 0.5 oz Wrey and Nephew overproof is verrrry nice. My grenadine is probably very similar. It's tart and acidic.
  22. Actually, going to try a fourth with overproof rum...
  23. Saint Croix Rum Fix So, I tried this three times. First went down the drain, second was what the author recommended, and third IMHO is the best. Listed in this order below: 2 oz rum (Cruzan Black Strap, Cruzan Estate Dark, Plantation Grande Reserve) 0.5 oz homemade pineapple syrup Juice of 1/2 a lemon 2 cubes cane sugar, 2 cubes cane sugar, 2 tsp white sugar Combine and stir to devolve. Serve on crushed ice.
