  1. wow, I like that Mike as well. Very good choice!
  2. isn't this the part when you complain that Justin's specs of 5Hz-45KHz +/-0.1dB aren't accurate and demand your money back? I guess that's more HF, but if you post it over there be sure to update us with the ensuing reaction.
  3. Nice Jim, cannot wait to hear your impressions. The Asyla mixes up well.
  4. you do know that it's possible to clip test probes to things, you don't have to hold them. It's a relatively new invention...
  5. Oh. I tried some amarone recently. That was probably the best wine I've ever had. ok, out for the night.
  6. Cool, I'll buy the winner. They have an olde and younge Boomsa here, which are you going to try?
  7. A ton of Old Eatonians. I think this is one of my favorite gin drinks, especially when I run out of fruit. Killed off my Hendricks and Blue Coat and nearly the Cocchi. Feeling fine.
  8. Randomly ran into a bottle of Handy. Then bought it.
  9. No, but I'd buy the Junipero if I was trying it for the first time
  10. actually, you probably need to either have the pot connected or the inputs shorted.
  11. maybe this link would be interesting? I think the Auer style is the same as the Russian style: http://dspace.uta.edu/bitstream/handle/10106/128/umi-uta-1292.pdf?sequence=1
  12. see.... Did you ever see him use the last 4-5 inches of the bow? I cannot find the mystery Bach sheet music now. I think I'm going insane. It's not as pronounced as I though, but as I understand it, this is the Russian method, but with more slant towards the wrapping. some other pics
  13. nice! looks like it uses the same steel as my knife.
  14. it's a cocktail. They have cool names
  15. Corpse Reviver #2. Equal parts, with Meyer lemons and two drops absinthe (with St. George a 1 dash / 1/8 tsp is a bit much)
  16. Anyone have a favorite recording of thus Schumann Symphony? I like it a lot, and be curious what it sounds like in stereo.
  17. Also, looking for a Scientific Conversions SC947-02, with the off chance someone knows where to get one (other than direct, which I have an e-mail in with them now). This is the one that lots of people stuck in the SB3...
  18. close, but I don't need the receiver, but the corresponding transmitter... thanks though!
  19. I like playing them. Thanks Justin, that was quite the experience..
  20. An Altera programmer clone. Amazing what you can get in China these days for practically peanuts: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-Altera-FPGA-CPLD-USB-Blaster-programmer-JTAG-/260717662867?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb3fbd293#ht_2102wt_1141
  21. anyone happen to have an extra TOTX147PL? (I notice amb carries them, not many others it seems...)
  22. I've heard that the oscillations present in RSA gear happens to be the perfect cure for this type of thing.
  23. Cool, what's your preference? Very different tastes, but I find myself preferring the Tanq most of the time.
  24. I'd use the 20K resistors. Yes, it needs to be at maximum resistance. Turn it on and monitor the voltage across the output resistors. Let it warm up and turn it up (bias up, trimmer down) until you can hold your hand on the heat sinks for 3 seconds.
  25. That is the output stage bias pot. It need to be set at it's maximum value.
