And now what did you do TODAY?
Yesterday I and my father visited my aunt at hospital. We haven't been seeing each other as families for more than 10 years. And before that it was like bumping each others on weddings, funerals etc and seeing each other wasn't pleasent. My mother and she has deep problems since I was born; long story... Anyway, she had been diagnosed with gastric cancer as it turns out 2 years ago and she just wanted to say her goodbyes. She was in extremely bad shape, my father couldn't even look at her. Reasons for not seeing them is/was rightful but still I feel deep sadness. Shaken since, sleeping for almost 16 hours didn't help as well. Made me think on things I'm angry with my parents, their desicions on my life which pushed me into the life I don't want to live since I started to school. Things I can't forgive them. I didn't think seeing her evoke so much shit. I'd rather avoid it if I knew. We didn't tell my mother about that visit cuz even my aunt is in deathbed we don't know how she is going to react. I feel really bad about it as well.

Happy Birthday guys! Have a great day!- And now what did you do TODAY?
Yes Grahame. But, all of them involves instering things into urethra, well at least they use local anesthesia. As he told me there are 2 options; one uses shockwaves and one uses laser to crumble the stones. Can't remember the medical terms, it was really hard to focus on things he said after "we insert things into your urethra". Still I cannot make up my mind on getting the operation ASAP or wait, take better care of myself, drink yoghurt and pickle juice, as my father advised. Doctor thinks both help for passing them out and reducing the chance of clumping as well. It shouldn't be a big deal, just it seems it is just the begining to me. "More coming soon!" Dunno maybe I should be less dramatic about some teeny-tiny stones. Damn "Transurethral cystolitholapaxy" sounds like name of a grindcore/goregrind song. But yea, that is the procedure he advised.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Not today but yesterday I visited the urologist. He checked both MRI and CT visuals. Good news is I have no soft tissue damage, inflammations or polyps. Bad news is I have some more stones in my bladder. Not as big as I projected but he said they might clump together by time. And not only stones in my bladder, I have a hole in my wallet too. And it seems if I want them gone as painless and as soon as possible, the hole in my wallet will devour it completely. Hello healthscares! Goodbye the dream of upgrading espresso machine and grinder...- The Knuckledragger 3rd Memorial Slow Forum Post
From good ol' days:- What are you reading now?
Guido Barbujani - The Invention of Races - Science Against Racism Well I'm already anti-racist and I think "race" is a looooong outdated concept but still it feels good when science agrees with your point of view. Really good book, has no pseudo-scientific bullshit in it, not easy to understand, going to take a bit longer to finish than my regular reading materials. But still a good read.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Thanks Nate for the advice. I consume 5-6 liters of fluid on daily basis. Min 3 liters of water, 2 cups of coffee, 4 cups of tea. But about salt, yea I love salt. I have to reduce the amount I consume, I suppose. Gonna work on it. Also, I - at least - doubled the consumption of dairies since I became vegetarian (13 months have passed since I became one) to make up the amount of protein I need. Maybe that contributed as well. I took appointments for urology and MRI for next Monday. Gonna get a clear picture I hope. - Happy Birthday Mikeymad and Dreadhead!!
