Stax Teflon Jacks - More of them
what i think might work best is to load the pins onto a Stax plug, then insert it into the connector shell, then tighten the nuts. i'll suggest this to the machine shop

Stax Teflon Jacks - More of them
Here is what I think will work for pricing 1-2: $20/ea 3-4: $18/ea 5-9: $17/ea 10+: $16/ea *add $5 per normal bias jack (go ahead and combine pro/normal jacks in your total count) + 3% paypal & shipping I'm assuming that shipping weight will be below 1lb for all but the largest quantities, so expect about $6 USA and $25 international subject to change because I havent been given the final costs yet

Stax Teflon Jacks - More of them
you can thread it but it would have to be larger than M3 the height of that is .250"

Stax Teflon Jacks - More of them
no. if the front panels are thin, then you would use a nut on the other side. another option (that would increase cost) would be to thread 2 of the holes (diagonally) and leave the other 2 unthreaded. or i could thread all the holes, but not with M3, it would have to be M4 or #6-32.

Stax Teflon Jacks - More of them
here is the proposed jack redesign. it is smaller (1x1") which is 60% the area of the last ones. the screw holes will fit #4 or M3 screws. washers/nuts can be up to 0.3" diameter before going off the corners. the diameter of the center is 0.700" so it will fit as a replacement for an original Stax jack. after measuring my Stax connectors, I think the original drawing had the pins spaced about 0.005" too far apart (if anyone can confirm, please let me know) so I have adjusted this.

Stax Teflon Jacks - More of them
I'm having some of the teflon Stax jacks w/ the gold plated pins machined. I should have them in 4-6 weeks. I don't have the final price yet because I don't know what it will cost to have the pins assembled. But it shouldnt be more (probably will be less) than the jacks have previously been sold for and it will be excellent machining quality. Edit: August 3, 2012 All connectors from this group buy have been shipped out. If you're reading this late, I've listed more connectors on eBay. Find them at the below links 1 connector - Custom Teflon Chassis Jack for Stax Headphones from HeadAmp 2 connectors - 2 pcs - Custom Teflon Chassis Jack for Stax Headphones fr... 5 connectors - 5 pcs - Custom Teflon Chassis Jack for Stax Headphones fr... 1 connector (normal bias) - Custom Teflon Chassis Jack for Stax Headphones (Normal Bi...
