  1. I was testing the how good the image stabilization feature is on my digital camera, that was a hand-held 1/2 second exposure in pretty bad light.
  2. The 57 in ESL-57 refers to the year in which they were introduced...
  3. Dude, the phrase "I buysed some new amps" and "I's been selling the drugs I has confiscated" are a clear tip-off that it's clearly not serious. That and saying it's a very serious thread. That was pure sarcasm. Maybe my deliberate spelling & grammar errors and all the rest weren't enough of a tip-off in print...
  4. You should hear one of my local dealers rant about Nordost Vahalla, and what he did to the Nordost cable pusher who tried to get him to carry their cables.
  5. Then he gets introduced to Quad ESL-57's...
  6. I think you should click on the following link: www.gullible.com
  7. I's been selling all the drugs I has confiscated from my work.
  8. Forget what?
  9. This one's pretty cool. Garrard 401 with a custom maple base and a cool funcky tonearm.
  10. This is a serious thread to discuss ideas for my new speaker, I'm not going to go into any more off topic tangents on my love life.
  11. I would, but I don't have an imaginary girlfriend.
  12. So I buysed some new amps yesterday, and now I need some speakers to go with them. What do you guys suggest? This is a very serious thread.
  13. Pretty much, you just kinda wake up one day and there it is.
  14. We're talking about invisible purple unicorns, that's why you can't see the pictures.
  15. Apparently, it's not a safety issue unless someone loses an eye.
  16. So I hooked up with this chick on an internet dating site, and then when I went to meet her I found out she has an identical twin sister. So now I have a bit of a problem, I'm not sure which sister I talked to on the 'net, so now I'm all confused and I don't know which sister I should be dating. Help me decide which sister is the one. .................1...................................................2............
  17. Of course, now that you've said that he's going to have a $200 upgrade plan to put the cap in. Kinda like how he charged a shitload of money to "fix" the cRaptor power supply with a slightly less broken PSU.
  18. This is something I've been playing with for a while, in short, I can change my K340 from sealed to vented so I have more range for tuning the bass. This picture shows how it's done. Sealed the back with a piece of plastic and taped it in good with electrical tape, but first I put a couple holes in it which I've highlighted with the arrows. How does it work? Well, you can plug one, both, or none of the holes with a small piece of blu-tack, and that'll change how the bass sounds. With the holes open there's more bass but it isn't as tight, you get a bass hump but it doesn't really go any deeper. Close up both holes and the bass gets tight, maybe a bit too tight so it isn't as fun with some of the music I listen to. Normally I close up one hole and leave the other open, the sound is somewhere in between that way.
  19. This is why man invented electric violins.
  20. Converted the volume control on my amp from a standard pot to a shunt mode pot. I'm not sure if it did anything.
  21. There's this thing called a shoelace, available for a buck at the dollar store. The ones for athletic shoes and hockey skates are hollow inside so you can thread a cable right through them as seen on this page.
  22. I feel like building a cattle prod for some reason.
  23. You're not crazy. You're certifiably insane. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Unless your name is Patrick.
  24. Dead easy. Take the subway to St. Clair West station and it's less than a 5 minute walk from there. webpage with maps
  25. It adds transparency to the sound.
