  1. Nilsson Son of Schmilsson You're breakin' my heart You're breakin' my heart You're tearin' it apart So fuck you!
  2. I would love to spend a day playing with all your toys. Admittedly I'd probably make a huge mess with tangled wires and bits all over the place but *I* think it would be worth it
  3. A solid DAC/amp is never a bad idea, especially a USB one if you run from computer. It seems to me that you have some gear that you could flog off over at H-F to build up funds. Now, if you were to sell off the tommy, alo, and some of your lesser used cans you could probably fund one pretty good system rather than have a whole bunch of middling stuff. I don't think the Pico is a bad decision by any means.
  4. I wasn't going to say that
  5. Envy? At least you have a nice new amp, mine's a 24 year old Hafler that usually has trouble breaking $150 on ebay. Still, it does sound nice and makes a damned good room heater to boot.
  6. Face it, where better to start than with an O2? It'll still be there as you collect the other bits. Shit, I was happy running my K1000s from a $30 t-amp. The K1000 was a chance in a lifetime I had to take whether I had a decent setup or not, so I took it and am (very) slowly upgrading the rest to match it.
  7. Hmm, craptop or O2? That's a toughie. NOT! If I could trade a spare lappy for der Staxen I'd be on it like flies on poo.
  8. :prettyprincess: :prettyprincess: :prettyprincess: :prettyprincess: :prettyprincess:Oh, I can't believe I won, you're all so wonderful. I love you all. I'm so pretty

    K1000 = hope

Oooh, purple I love the K1000 so much I bought a second pair. I use mine with an old hafler 220 and it sounds sooo goood. One day I should probably get a new amp but that's a very long way away. That Almarro does look nice though... I think some nice wood cheeks would set it off nicely.
  10. I hang a set on either end of my monitor. You can't always see the whole screen like that but I'm too lazy to use a real stand when the monitor is right in front of my face. Stax on one end and K1K at the other. I hang my baby Stax and MS1 on the floor.
  11. I want to hear my baby stax with an aristaeus, that whud be teh awesomes! Especially if fed by a nanopod. Anyway, no dissin the wee baby as 'test fodder' it has feeling you know.
  12. ...but not forgotten
  13. The Duet does look like a really good bargain. Not having a Mac kinda puts a damper on it. Oh well, I guess that's why Justin birthed the Pico, so the rest of us lowly plebs with PCs can have fun too
  14. Put Tony Harding in a uniform and she'd slay them all...
  15. Watching a re-run of Rome. Atia is currently getting humped by her manservant. No taste, but nice bod.
  16. I'm suddenly feeling a strange urge to go out and buy some purple gurly-shoes
  17. My KSC-75 kicks sand in the face of your puny GS-1000s and urinates on your Grados.
  18. Hey Mortalcoil. Hp FTW, but not Grados. Hehe
  19. Good impressions. I don't really have much use for a headphone amp, however, that Experience Two would look real good hanging off the end of my K1000s
  20. Depends where you decide to buy and what make/model you want. As far as I'm aware there is no laptop bargain time, best you can do is wait for a sale or look up discount coupons online and hope you get lucky.
  21. You too Young. 've been watching the place and thought I'd join cos it's where the cool kids hang
  22. Wow. Nice score if she goes through with it. I had a nice Sansui system in the early 80s which I enjoyed quite a bit. Didn't go a bundle on their speakers though. I preferred classic Brit models of the day. Still, can't complain about free too much My dads old early 70s Sansui Quaraphonic system is probably still collecting dust back in England.
  23. Ooooh, purdy
  24. Stax Gamma Pro, which I promptly dismantled so I could stuff its gizzards into my SR-X
  25. LOL!
