Best Black Headphones?
I have two ways to go, powder coat or black anodizing. The interesting thing is what each would do to the grills. The powder would likely make them less resonant, the anodizing will probably make them ring more due to hardening. Powder will be matt, anodizing will be shiny. It's a toughie. As long as the powder is not spooned on it shouldn't make too much of a difference to size, anodizing may make them a little brittle due to how fine the mesh is. I'm currently thinking powder coat at this point.

I really liked the sound of the W5000 and would like a set myself. Sadly I haven't heard many closed phones of late.

Best Black Headphones?
I've had the desire for a black K1K since I first got them. I've never been keen on how they look normally so one set will be blacked. Even thought about using a black stax headstrap as I like that design. I want them to look super awesome.

Best Black Headphones?
They don't yet exist, but the best will be my future black K1000. Black bands and black grills.

Balancing a vinyl rig
I dispute that. People have claimed for years that I was unbalanced, and yet I rarely fall over unless drunk or stoned. I believe I'm fully balanced and that both my positive and negative sides are strongly driven. Though I'm frequently ungrounded now, I was grounded a lot when I was younger for humming when I was supposed to be quiet. I'm unsure if I was ever single-ended except as a fetus. At that time I was well shielded with a common ground and didn't hum. There, I think that explains it all?

MOTMOTMOT Needed
I don't know much about power supplies, but wouldn't a regulated Computer PSU do it? They can dish out a decent amount of current and output 12V. Although I think most are switching these days for efficiency.

Nova Physics Group - The Memory Player
They have the technology to finally make a great player. They have top scientists and engineers at their disposal. They have a world class and very expensive player on offer...... ...and yet, I have to ask myself, would I buy anything from a company that has a website that looks like it was made by a 10 year old colorblind dyslexic? Do they expect anyone to take them seriously when that is the best they can do? I tried that site on both Firefox and IE7 and neither one can make it intelligible. Fucking morons!

What do you think is going to happen in season 4 of Lost?
They have no intention of explaining because, frankly, they have no idea where they are going with it. I gave up trying to figure it out ages ago and lost interest soon thereafter.

APureSound KSC-75s. Anybody have impressions?
I frankly don't care about rewiring for myself. I also don't care whether anyone thinks they are resolving/scalable, I like how they sound and that's a lot more important.

Good luck with the Kings ransom on that one.

Balancing a vinyl rig
Well gain can certainly be a problem but I've never had much trouble with noise. Provided the phones aren't too sensitive I found the advantages outweigh the deficits.

Bugger me, it's even longer than I remembered, and I remembered it being very long.
