  1. If they ever make it back on the market, they seem to be out of stock everywhere, I will try another.
  2. Well my first foray into the off-brand lenses has been disappointing. The Sigma 85 f/1.4 has pretty terrible focusing issues. I can almost make it presentable on the 7D/5D MkII with MA but since I should not have to adjust that much and the 5Dc does not have MA, it is going back to B&H today.
  3. For the NYC photographers, it appears there will be a massive group of photographers getting together in Central Park this weekend organized by some pro photog to go check out the best photo places in the Park. 4. Still getting to know the S95. So far I have very few complaints. Shots from my walk to the train. ISO 640 1/40 at f2 Couple of snapshots of lenses.
  5. As you stated, the projections are pure BS.
  6. Yes they are typically very wrong, except for this week when they show I am taking down our first place team as a 50 point favorite. I believe they hit that one spot on.
  7. As I have been saying all season, I have a pretty bad team. My two best RBs were on bye so I started two guys I would prefer were not even on my team and had no shot.

I know they have them but as he looks both directions while crawling under the tank there is definitely no large hatch.

I couldn't figure out the escape hatch on the tank that just appeared.
  10. A few more from last night.
  11. Okay, flight is booked so I am more of a probably than a maybe at this point.

    The Walking Dead on AMC

I watched it and thought it was good. Characters seem good and the zombies are awesome of course.
  13. Yes, it was really the only choice with the sidewalks so packed with people I could not hand hold any kind of decently slow shutter so I broke out the 580exII.
  14. Village Halloween Parade
  15. At ISO 400, 1/25, f2.0 outdoors I would have expected your picture to be really bright.
  16. The only practical advantage is file size. I can obviously take smaller Raw files on the 5DmkII to make them more manageable but they are still much larger than the full size raw on the 5Dc. When I might need all those Pixels I would probably take the mkII but for everyday use the 5Dc is a fantastic camera and will do everything I would ever need. Some shots from the Photo Expo.
  17. I put the old one up for sale when I found this one. The thing looks to be unused so it made sense to pick it up. If I don't sell the other one then I guess I will just have double redundancy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. At the big Photo Expo at Javitz today. This is an awesome event with models set up to shoot at most booths and every piece of photo technology you could ever hope to own. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The Walking Dead on AMC

I am really looking forward to this show starting on Sunday. I downloaded the sneak peak on iTunes and it looks pretty good. A Zombie TV show could be a lot of fun.
  20. That's good news as a MINT 5D came into my hands today. This thing looks brand new and all the accessories in the box look unused.
  21. Tried a handheld HDR out my hotel window. Really need a tripod and this scene was not all that HDR necessary but I was bored.
  22. I have not even had a chance to take it out of the box yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. My team sucks so badly this week that I will probably score almost as many points as my two RBs this week. I am guessing 6 to 0 at the point.
  24. Okay, planning to go to the Village Halloween parade on Sunday and need to figure out the gear I will haul over there. Probably the 7d with the 70-200 and the 5d mkII with the 35 f1.4. I am kind of tempted to forego the 35 for the 50 f1.4 or the new Sigma 85 f1.4 for the reach. Or I could really go nuts and put the 15 f2.8 fisheye. I am assuming decent enough light that the fisheye/70-200 combo might make for an interesting setup with the zoom getting the most work. Any opinions from the nightlife photographers?
  25. The second weekend would be a bit easier for me as I will be getting back from a two week vacation on the first of December but I could probably do either. Is this going to be at that same hotel as last year?
