Not any less scientific than the videos that started all the crying about the iPhone. Tried it holding the iPhone and the Incredible at the office and the Incredible dropped one bar almost immediately when held on the bottom and the iPhone did nothing when doing the "death grip". Several tests showing the same occurrence with several other phones but I guess since all those phones together will not sell as many this year as the iPhone did in the first weekend it is not a big deal.

I tried the update tonight as I could not leave the iPhone plugged in to charge as it kept syncing over and over again. Of course the install failed so I had to restore the phone completely as it got stuck in the update screen and giving me the error 9 that everyone has been getting. Restoring everything now. Pretty miserable software update but I did notice it also updated firmware during the process.

Yeah that would be tough, but I have never had a loss of apps, I have just had screwed up apps that I had to delete and then DL the new version later down the road when the developer figured out what they were doing.

All I have ever had to do is DL the app again from the app store and it tells me since I already bought it I will not be charged.

I would theoretically think that the left handed people would be the greatest affected by the flaw as they will typically cup the phone in their hand bridging the two elements. I have several cases now as I am not one of the "its too pretty to cover" people so I shouldn't have that problem anywhere I go.

Over 800 minutes of talk time on my iPhone 4 without a single dropped call. Maybe guaranteed to get fucked is a bit of hyperbole to prove your point but I have not had any issues and have a 3G network here in NYC that is far faster than the competitors (Verizon, Sprint) I have seen. I have also not found much use for Multitasking. One time in the car while using the GPS and playing music through the stereo but outside of that I cannot think of any times I have actively used multitasking. The 3Gs in my office with ios4 that I played with was very fast and seemed to work great. The two 3G phones with the upgrade not so much.

I am going to try to make it this year. I am looking for another Marriott in the area as the event Hotel appears to be booked. I am trying to do the flight, rental car, hotel all with points but will probably wait to see if a HC hotel choice comes to fruition.

They would need about a 10CD set to do the season one soundtrack. I enjoyed the first season and the back stories of the New Orleans residents that the characters are based on are equally interesting (Ashley Morris "Fuck you, you Fucking Fucks, etc.). My biggest concern is that one of my favorite characters Annie will end up being based upon Addie Hall a resident that met a pretty terrible end in a story that is mirroring the one one between Annie and Sonny.

Just finished watching the last half of the Treme season. I actually liked the season but the end was a bit of a downer. Definitely need the soundtrack.

That is pretty sorry Nate. I went through that back in the day with Sprint where I would receive voicemails days late for some reason. My biggest cellular issue now is this flaming POS Sprint Overdrive. Have to turn it on and off three to four times before I can get a network connection without error and then when I get it connected I get at best 130 Kbps DL. Also have to unplug it every time I want to use the one button on the unit as it will not seem to work when the device is plugged into the wall.

At least they are giving you something for the hassle. Reading all these posts about people dropping the iPhone and shattering the glass has made me kind of paranoid. I will probably end up getting some overbuilt case for it when the good ones start coming out.

I can't even find the buttons on a book. I have to admit I find it funny watching the people trying to read books on the subway while holding on to a pole. I really read more magazines with the Zinio app than books as it is a short term commute kind of thing for me.

Functionality. The Kindle operating system seems like it is about 20 years behind the readers on the iPad. I put the Kindle in the drawer the day the iPad showed up and did not take it out until I gave it away a couple of weeks ago. I don't get as excited about e-ink as most people seem to so it was an easy decision for me even though I had only had the Kindle a few months when I got the iPad.

Yeah I am a big fan of the Guardian App. Fantastic photography and some fascinating stories behind the pics. The upgraded B&N reader app is out today. Now both Amazon and B&N offer better readers on the iPad than they have on their own devices.
