Weird -- when I showed the video to a friend, it didn't do the neon headlights line, it replaced it with a "is it hot, or is it just me?" line. There must be some sort of randomization factor -- there are at least three different courses -- one with a race, one with a slalom, one to do zero-to-sixty. Perhaps it's because I changed the tire size.

I will, thanks for the suggestion. Downside to booting from CD -- no cookies. I have to remember every password I use. Also, haven't figured out how to play .wmv files yet. And when I tried it on my work computer, network didn't work. I believe my next step will be a bootable partition. Home computer: 1.5G CPU, 256M mem, only upgradeable to 512M -- time to upgrade, neh? I was hoping to postpone that for a few months.

I'll go one at a time, but I need a better idea of what you're looking for -- sorry, I should have been paying to your musical interests more. What is it, specifically, that you like about my taste in music? What sorts of things have piqued your interest? Okay, here's one: Italian prog -- Premiata Forneria Marconi, The World Became The World -- worth the price of admission for the brilliant opener "The Mountain" and the title track. Don't think because of the gorgeous choir music for the first two minutes that this is some sort of "chill" piece -- it rocks out like a mofo. Side 2 has some nice jazzy underpinnings. This is some really nice ensemble work, and they make a lot of racket for just four guys (I thought it was 6).

:raises eyebrows: I'm a huge Klaus Schulze fan, but I missed that that was an Ash Ra Tempel reference. (interest gets raised even more)

If you can't fit in the enclosure, how about mini monoblocks? I mean, you already have the power source...and I really like the idea of a "class D" power amp -- the Sonic T-Amp is already the thing to beat, if you could just ramp up something like that without getting out of control, like the Super T-Amp, that'd be awesome. Oh, and would it be ridiculous to have a "class D" amp without an analog input? I would think that a digital input would translate pretty easily to the necessary signal. Is it that much cheaper to glue a CD and a DVD back-to-back than it is to just give us both, separately, in a digipak or double-sided jewel case or something?
