pulled pork loin/tenderloin dry rub fell asleep (8 hours or so?) woke up, added tomato sauce, rocoto peppers, and (citrus?) flavoured balsamic vinegar went about my day (a couple hours) flipped everything went about my day (a couple hours) came back, and all the pork had dissolved -- I probably could have pulled them apart with a cheap, flacid, utensil I think it came out better'n any brisket I've ever made, too -- wasn't quite spicy or tangy enough, so... I ruined it -- added some beans, chipotle peppers, diced hot green chilies, now I need to add onions, garlic, and some more balsamic vinegar, maybe? or lime juice... Now (before onions) it's spicy enough but not tangy or sweet enough -- the onions will take care of the sweet, so maybe just some regular rice vinegar and call it done before I ruin it for real.

I'm definitely coming around on them. 😁 I am totally enamored with the singing by Nemophila's lead singer. Have you done a deep dive yet? Part power metal with Van Halen harmonies; part harsh (witchy-poo, but very musical). It's not prog, but sometimes I just want dumb old rock'n'roll that's catchy as shit.

It turned out super tasty and had that barbecue tang that was definitely missing from my goulash, but the place smells like Hormel, and I can't get over it. It's still delicious, I just need the house to stop reminding me of Hormel.

Yeah, no lie, that makes sense. I was worried that a sear at the beginning might seal out the flavour, but doing it at the end makes a lot of sense, will give that a try. Thanks!

I need a pulled pork barbecue slow cooker recipe that utilizes flavoured boutique balsamic vinegar and hot sauce ... and onions. I might have to make something up, because the boutique balsamic vinegars I have are some very specific flavours.
