Whoa, that first track is gorgeous ("Eating the Dead"). EDIT: But those lyrics are fucked up.
-
Don't be dissuaded by the band's name, it has nothing to do with kittens: I like their use of rests. Pretty surprising that the song is only 2 minutes long.

I've actually been listening to more podcasts in the car, because it takes too much attention to listen while I work or while I study, which seems to be 100% of my waking life these days. ...are my two favourites/most frequently listened. I've also listened to a couple of these -- I think they're at their best when Rachel joins them (Animals, Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe), but they're even enjoyable when they do albums they don't like (Blackwater Park😞 https://prognotespodcast.com/ A couple I'm intending to listen: I'll definitely give that Ricky Gervais one a listen...

Unholy carp, that's wild! That person is crazy great, to be able to play a famous piece convincingly in others' styles is...just jaw-dropping.
-
Yeah, Oscar Peterson himself is wild:

Exactly. And thanks for reminding me, I was listening to an old podcast the other day of Rachel Portman (score composer), and it was mentioned that she's working on a solo album, and now that album is a thing of the past, so I can listen to it now. Spoiler alert: it's pretty nostalgic sounding, would fit right in with Joe Hisaishi's work:

I was wondering what album that video was about, it keeps popping up on my recommended videos, but I never watch it. Thanks for lettin' me know. Me: my friend Grace released her EP after months of hype...and it's really great! Instrumental metal: I miss that feeling of nostalgia...

Happy birthday, Pete formerly known as Digi-! (party favour noise)

Agreed on both counts. He plays nice, too. Really enjoyed the music.

Listening to some delicious Fender Rhodes by Marcin Grachowina: https://jazzijazzful.bandcamp.com/track/sad-frog

Listened to a wide variety of Chopin's Preludes. Got a little...uh...feverish...towards the late afternoon.
-
Alice Sara Ott, Echoes of Life -- largely Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, interspersed here and there with other short pieces. That album cover hurts my eyes, though. EDIT: Oh, wow, she (Ott) wrote a piece on this one, albeit based on fragments of Mozart's Lacrimosa.

Stumbled across another option for you (potentially -- I don't know all your requirements): Roland Rubix 44 or 22.

More Hiromi -- dang I love (and low-key miss) her use of synthesizers:

Happy birthday, Todd! I hope you have a superblime day. (party favour noise)

Hiromi Uehara, Spectrum solo jazz piano, I forgot how great this one in particular is. E.G., This is just so insanely great! I should also mention that it appears her entire back catalog (including personal favourites, Time Control, Brain, &c.) has been uploaded to streaming platforms Tidal and Spotify, so...yay!

Yeah, that's all I ask any more, I don't have a favourite of anything any more (other than maybe for Schubert's 2nd Piano Trio), so just ask after worthy performances. Thanks, will give it a listen!

Particularly good? Those are two of my favourite violin concertos (with the Mendelssohn), so I already have several favourite performances, won't bother unless you say it's worth listening. Me: Susumu Hirasawa's Beacon, first release in several years! https://digital.susumuhirasawa.com/album/beacon
