  1. 12ax7lps are probably the best recent production 12ax7's. Also: beware counterfeits.
  2. I'm a little behind on my Cowboy Junkies, I don't think I've heard anything by them since Open.
  3. Antimatter -- oh yeah, that was their "departure" album. Didn't like as much, but still liked if I had heard it and it was another band. Clean singing FTW.
  4. Was: Gazpacho, Night Is: Edison's Children, In the Last Waking Moments... To Be: Antimatter, Fear of a Unique Identity
  5. Okay, first impressions -- they seem to have traded in space for melody -- me likey -- that instrumental break in um..."Deprived", I think -- that was particularly wonderful. Will definitely give it some more spins.
  6. It's on Spotify, so I'm listening to it now.
  7. Noted. Tried looking them up on Spotify, nada. Will have to look elsewhere. Me: Riverside, Shrine of New Generation Slaves I do, indeed, like it, but needs moar space. Oh well, it's not over yet. I do see one song that's over 8 minutes and another that's over 12 coming up, so I am hopeful.
  8. Rewired, The Loner, Dirty Fingers, and El Becko -- a bunch of Jeff Beck tributes I found on Spotify.
  9. I have heard the new Antimatter, but have been not following leaks lately (I just don't have the time), so probably won't hear the Steven Wilson until it comes out properly in February, and did not pre-order the Riverside (I don't think -- I should double-check before I accidentally order it twice), so will probably not hear it until later this week...I will order it today if I haven't.
  10. Happy Birthday, Mike! (party favour noise)
  11. I'm curious why you say this, it sounds pretty much like bog standard 21st century New Order to me.
  12. (fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap fap)
  13. That's surprisingly good, I should listen to that again...enqueued. Also, Lost Sirens. Right now finishing Foretaste, Alone with People Around
  14. Matt Schofield or John Scofield?
  15. done Oh? That's not what you meant? (snicker)
  16. I have had bad luck with using better wine for cooking. My understanding is, the cheaper the better -- and the reasoning, I was explained, is that it was more sugar and less dry, which is what you want (though in my case, it was Marsala). I wouldn't mind an extended answer to Shelly's question, because my experience is minimal. I mean, I'm a ... I'm a ... I'm a bachelor, myself, so minimal.
  17. So when are you back on the air? Winter break's over, innit?
  18. Airbag -- wanna be Porcupine Tree...specifically space-rock era (early) Porcupine Tree -- I can think of worse things to wanna-be.
  19. Sony MDR-V6/-7506 Also: I boobies He's facing the wrong way, it's like he's facing away from them. Maybe I should try it vertically: I boobies. That's better, now he looks like he's looking down someone's shirt.
  20. ...and shaped like a cartoon dog.
  21. There's RAID level 1, and then there are other RAID levels.
  22. I have to say, I enjoyed the premise. And, in fact, most of the series. I bon mots.
  23. NFW, you watched the entire season one since then? Me: Breaking Bad -- awesome. I love black comedies. Will probably start Coupling, too. Finished Jekyll. Steve Moffat is like the British, more ADD version of Joss Whedon.
  24. Cowboy Inc's Soundcloud feed
