  1. Or you could put the yellow with the lime (and the lime with the coconut...) and the green with the lemon because you like Sprite.
  2. Oh it's not so bad. It's probably the repitition that's killing it for you. And: "...its effects".
  3. Was: Stripmall Architecture, Albino Peacock Is: Spiritualized, Amazing Grace Going to be: Spiritualized, Let It Come Down
  4. Why is there a snake on your rig? Is that a snake-oil reference?
  5. The screen res is the main reason I got it. No Blu-Ray drive, and I don't think it's hdcp compliant, so I'm going to have to figure out how to use linux to rip to hard drive to watch blu-rays (I've got a blu-ray drive in my main computer). No Toslink out, but it does have 4 USB ports, which is the way of the future, I think.
  6. Which weekend? Give it a year...or two...
  7. I would need to massage it into my temples and the back of my head/neck.
  8. Do you have a fax?
  9. I did. Wasn't listening for examples of the technology, just wanted to hear the explanation. Will listen on speakers later.
  10. I listened on headphones, which is just wrong.
  11. Sounds like he's using "reverse crossfeed" -- in other words, using crossfeed to cancel the sound from one speaker to the other ear, rather than what it usually does. And yes, that video does a good job of explaining the exact answer to my question. Although he skipped "the third thing", which I suspect is frequency response.
  12. It sounds to me like binaural recordings...but with speakers. Kind of curious how he did that.
  13. Thank you for saying what I was thinking.
  14. Yeezh. Feel better, Dinny.
  15. I love the concept of a good double feature. Yeah, I'm really -ing on Kelley Armstrong right now, after just having finished Waking the Witch and Made to be Broken in fairly rapid succession. Easily my favorite current author. Try to get as far as Stolen (eventually). Or actually, you won't discover that she can write in different "voices" until you get to Dime-Store Magic and Industrial Magic, since both Bitten and Stolen are written from Elena's POV.
  16. LOL @ #25 I even heard the classic 8-bit sound effects. Ah, the power of icons.
  17. So she's been replaced by an animatronic device from Disney World, pretty much.
  18. And headphones wear out. My beloved first headphones sounded...well, worn out, when I ran across them several decades later.
  19. Thanks, now I have a medley of Let The Sunshine In and The Temple (from Jesus Christ Superstar) (for some reason those two songs always trigger each other). (Yes, the hippie pic.)
  20. Holy shit, I cannot express how amazing this was. BEST ZOMBIE BOOK EVAR Alright, I haven't read any other zombie books, but still... BEST ZOMBIE BOOK EVAR Maybe it's because I'm struggling with snot and whatnot, but the emotional roller coaster that this book put me through is easily the most intense I've read in decades. Just amazing. Definitely reading the next two the day they come out; also going back and reading her fantasy fiction.
  21. Jacob, do you listen to XM pop radio?
  22. Perhaps.
  23. You have got to like spam a lot.
