  11. Ok, with a little repacking, the medium cafe bag is actually brilliant. The ipad fits in the zippered outside pocket, and the mba 11 fits in the main pocket with the power cord. Other than not having enough room for a water bottle anywhere, it's a pretty good bag. I may be having discussions with Vicki shortly on what it'd take for me to not return this to her Sometimes a guy's gotta carry a purse, I guess.
  12. I accept that when I'm away from home, I've got to make compromises. It's been years since I've used an optical disc away from home, I acknowledge personally that I don't need 3TB of music and movies on my laptop, and when I'm going on a trip that involves the whole family, I bring the 1st gen appletv loaded with movies they're likely to want to watch. Everything else I stream if I need it, which I rarely do. It's not til you take the step to declutter that you notice how nice it is not to have to carry an 8 lb laptop bag.
  13. I just pull it out when I need it.
  14. You could even start a dark lord day forum
  15. Good call. I went to mine. Still hated everyone.
  16. it may be the medium
  17. The area around Rice is nice. It's too bad it's in Houston
  18. Vicki sent me the binh cafe bag. It's slightly too short for the mba 11", but is a great size for the ipad. If I was in the market for a purse, I'd definitely consider this one
  19. Schlafly Quadrupel
  20. Drove to gaithersburg, patched my supercomputer, went to lunch with dusty, bought some liquor, and am now getting ready to watch some hockey.
  21. Sazerac Rye (not the old stuff) - for manhattans and sazeracs Several Stillwater beers 6 bottles of that Shiraz Greg recommended Lunch at a sushi place
  22. Living in houston would be worse than either
  23. For most people, having the operating system and paging space on an SSD will make more of a performance difference than anything else you can do, bar none. If you do something that requires it. Probably not, tho. You can add more memory later on the imac easily, and it will be much cheaper than paying apple for it Yes, if you can wait, wait. It looks like an update is coming REALLY soon.
  24. What do you do on your desktop that the macbook air couldn't replace it?
