I don't think you're really doing much of a test if you're using the XLR outs on the dac to test. I mean, it's great if it works, but it's just dumb luck when it does.

If the predator isn't different from the pico, and why should it be, then it's a great amp/dac combination with separate usb to i2s and i2s to analog stages. Except that they're different, and it isn't.
