  1. It is truly amazing that Apple and ATT have lasted so long together given the, um, minor corporate cultural differences. AT&T warns customer that emailing the CEO will result in a cease and desist letter -- Engadget
  2. I've said it before, but screw AT&T. This is actually a good sign, though, because I think it means their iPhone/iPad exclusivity is over. Letting Apple dictate some of the terms of their contracts was the price of that particular deal and the fact that they're reverting to standard screw-the-customer mode very strongly suggests it's splitsville after WWDC next week. Rejoice!
  3. Woke up at sparrow fart, took my in-laws to the airport. Came home, took my daughter to the pediatric ER (she's fine, simple bacterial infection, but the doctor's office was closed for the holiday). Came home, spent an hour reinstalling my mailbox, which some douchebag high schoolers kicked over last night as part of their graduation festivities. Took my wife to the airport, came home. Having a beer!
  4. Stereo MC's -- Connected Of its time and place.
  5. Yup. I feel like I have some hearing loss on the right side. Audiologist says it's fine, but what does she know? That's why we did it dual mono. I need one click more on the right side to center the sound stage in my head.
  6. Toe -- For Long Tomorrow Had briefly forgotten how fucking fantastic this is.
  7. It is a truly classy piece of work. Just like its builder! There's some rather trick stuff in the PS to enable even a moron like me to safely switch over from 115V to 230V when necessary. Sounds very good. Different signature from the KGSS. Haven't had enough time to really put my finger on it yet.
  8. Met up with Mr. DIY for beers. He left behind a mysterious package...

  12. It's locked to AT&T and, currently, there's no unlock for the latest baseband. This will probably come once the new OS is released, but honestly I'd rather have a fully-unlocked 4.0 phone. Plus all my iPhone are belong to Mr. DIY.

  19. I'm glad I'm done with those fucking guys. I'll get an unlocked 4G iPhone in South Africa and a per-second prepaid account. Be nice if you could do that here in the land of the free, wouldn't it?

  24. I'd call low blow, but that would ruin the comic symmetry.
