I really wonder what they're going to do with 4.0, and also wonder why they're previewing/pre-announcing now rather than just dropping it with the next iPhone hardware rev? Maybe Apple are are actually feeling the heat from the Evo and the pace of Android development.

I'm trying out the Incase convertible book jacket on mine. It's like a folio with a built-in stand that holds the iPad at either 45/60/90 degrees. For desktop use, the 45 degree orientation makes typing a snap. The problem with this case is it's not great for using on your lap except in portrait mode, because the flap won't fold all the way back on itself. I like to browse. A store that cant manage to sell people anything they didn't come there to buy in the first place isn't a very good store.

Do you have the Epicurious app? It's great! Have been doing some reading on it today and I'm pretty happy with it in that regard. The iBook store sucks pretty badly at this point, though I'm sure it will improve with time. It's hard to find things and there aren't enough subcategories to really drill down to your interest. The same applies, in a slightly lesser degree, to the App Store.

Weatherbug is good and free. Not sure if I dare try PvZ on the iPad.

I know I'm a fanboy and all, but Web browsing on a touchscreen > Web browsing via mouse/keyboard. I hope to God they make an iPad HD with a 15" screen!

Wicked fast. Great screen. I actually like the keyboard. iPhone apps look lousy scaled up -- everyone's going to have to "optimize." Netflix works perfectly. MobileMe synched ootb. Downloaded a couple of books and the reading experience seems fine. I was never a Kindle user, though, so I'm probably not that fussy. If you like your iPhone or Touch you will flip for this. Everything is better.
