"Harry Wallop"? Poor bastard must have had fun at school.

Hope you got lots of Lain stuff.

You can play in order or shuffle the tracks.

Or a control dongle with a female in. Sure there'll be plenty, though they'll probably cost $30.

Should be. I suspect at least part of the design motivation with the new shuttle is to try and pressure more 3rd-party manufacturers to support the pickup-and-controls-on-the-wire model that Apple has established for the iPhone/Touch.

I didn't know that. And of course it is, silly rabbit.

Interesting that it now appears to charge through the headphone jack, too. I assume someone will shortly sell a little 3.5mm cable adapter with control buttons that you can plug any other phones into. Still, typical Apple/Jobs: "Less buttons! Less buttons!" I bet they'll go to 100% voice control eventually.

I vote for Kuato.

I like that Furman power conditioner with the dinner plate-sized, 63lb Plitron transformer in it. If you don't believe in it, it will kick your balls up into your throat.

Pixies -- Doolittle Hey AB, I'd sure love to hear the MFSL version.

Very kind, though I trust you're aware that contributing to the delinquency of an old fart is a misdemeanor in many states? I'll run the notion up the domestic flagpole and see how it flies.

Or 67-75 grains!

Yeah, but you suck your power up from the bowels of the Earth, so it's all stinky and stuff.

Nice chain, Dorkmeister.

Peter Gabriel -- So

I have. As alluded to, it's a doorstop but worth the effort if you have the time. Simmons can really write. (And write, and write, and ...)

ow my balls

You don't think Alke would be better, as well as aptonymous if correctly pronounced?

If you like Inquisitor on your desktop, you may also like the iPhone version. Yay free.

Only 784 pages this time? Simmons is slacking. He should have a prolix-off with Neal Stephenson.

Guster -- Keep It Together

Will the traveling HC contingent be staying over? Not that meeting people and listening to gear aren't fun activities in and of themselves, but a little bonus late-night debauchery in Manhattan might just put it over the edge.

Looks like a good time! Out of interest, has there been a New England meet in recent memory? Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to achieve a quorum.

The Cure -- Disintegration
