Apparently it is an authentication chip. As much of an Apple fanboy as I am, if they really are going to try and make 3rd-party phone manufacturers pay to play, then that is just not froody.

Back to Ayre, they've recently put two interesting bits of reading up on their Web site: A rundown on the asynchronous USB implementation in the DAC (sounds like it's using the TAS1020B?) as well as the details of the MP filter that's in all their new digital products.

The OPPO was probably being let down by the crappy amp.

^^^ :prettyprincess:

So what happened with the P-1? Todd says they're all gone and Luxman has decided there won't be any more, tough titty.

Ja! Nein!

I am among the seventeen people in the world who are extremely excited about this!

The Smiths -- "Strangeways, Here We Come"

$6,550 at Vintage King.

It was only a matter of time

'Til Tuesday -- Voices Carry Woo, 80s hair!

'Cause you square, square.

Kraftwerk -- Trans-Europe Express

Yeah, the Minerva is a DAC2 with a machined face plate and fancy feet. I saw an online chat with Daniel Weiss a while back where he admitted as much. The Computer Audiophile guy rated it the best USB or FW DAC he'd ever heard but in the end preferred the Lynx/Alpha DAC combo.

How about one of the Weiss FW units? Weiss is nice though the price is scheisse.

Asia -- Asia

Ultravox -- The Voice: Best Of Screw you it's awesome.

It's interesting, though the original recording was obviously pretty rough. A Fine Frenzy -- One Cell In The Sea

Save me from my libido!

The thread is about the death of fidelity. A little each day man.

Speaking of drugs and cloudy thinking...

Only because their big, swinging dicks would shatter them.

You're a fat-fingered fuck, Fergus.
