  2. Having a Curacao Punch, recipe from this site: [url=http://thejerrythomasproject.blogspot.com/2009/08/20-curacao-punch.html]The Jerry Thomas Project: 20. Cura
  3. Hendrick's martini
  4. Having another Brandy Daisy, great stuff
  5. Tried a Brandy Daisy cocktail (using Jerry Thomas recipe) 2 ounces of brandy 2 dashes of Jamaican Rum( I put 4, since I've got this dash measuring spoon) 1 ounce of lemon 1/4 ounce of blue cura
  6. Just had one of these, but no orange flower water and homemade simple syrup. Very nice indeed, I'd love to try it with orange flower water someday
  7. Seconding this, the bass is just ridiculous, reminds me of those cheap car stereos people install... they have a nice size and good build quality but that's about it
  8. Yeah Photoshop has had that for a long time, this includes Canadian notes too, for PC there's a hack/patch that gets rid of that, not sure about mac though
  9. Having a "Naked Lady", 1 oz Rum(I should've used white rum instead), 1oz sweet vermouth, 2 dashes of apricot brandy, grenadine and lemon juice Going to have a Missing Link next
  10. Indeed!
  11. I ordered one to go with the speaker setup I'm doing, I only have a neko dac and an old ibasso d1 to compare to though... should be here by the end of this month
  12. Hendricks martini
  13. I think the 3/4 oz lime juice is a bit much for my mix, I did use Tanqueray so that might have something to do with it, the gin is basically lost
  14. Ah forgot this was a new thread, I'm making another one with the measurements you posted. I like my non-measured Gin Rickey, very nice cocktail.
  15. Well that's a fancy cuba libre compared to the one I had, even the lime looks delicious! Just had a Gin Rickey, so 1 less from the anvil list.. Have you guys tried this one? what recipe did you use?(the search thread didn't give me any results)
  16. If you find a kgss/bhse for sale grab it, especially since you've purchased the O2s so you'd want a good amp to power them asap
  17. Great stuff, next up is this one;
  18. Merry Christmas to all, be sure to eat plenty!
  19. Not really an authority here but you might want to read your Welcome PM, also see this; http://www.head-case.org/forums/headphones/8990-holy-crap-new-stax-omega-looks-fierce-4.html#post400121 as an example of a good first post(imo for what it's worth)
  20. You're right. I guess I'm set then, thanks for all the help guys. Transport/laptop>xda-1>xpa-2>magnepan mmg Now just have to wait to get the stuff here
  21. Yes that's what I was thinking, maybe a Rotel or something?
  22. For this speaker system I had none, but I just got the XDA-1 so I guess this would be my source. I went with this one because of the price, I can always save up and get something better in the future. I just needed something to use with the speakers. Still need to find a cd-player, any ideas for one? Something less than $500 would be nice, this is why I asked about the ERC-1.
  23. According the people at magnepan user group they work really well. Some people go as far as XPA-1s but the weight is what prevented me from buying them, it'd be over $400 to bring them here :S I was wondering if I should get the XDA-1 and possibly the ERC-1 cd-player to go with this set? The XDA-1 has preamp and digital inputs it should work well with the xpa-2. Anyone have any opinions, are there better options within the same price range?
  24. To go with the Magnepan MMGs I also purchased
  25. Good, the seller needs to give me a quote on the shipping edit: there was no 'offer' just a buy it now option, just realized this...
