  1. Does anyone have a good Bloody Mary recipe? I think someone posted one before, but I can't find it anymore.
  2. Happy birthday, thank you for all your contributions to this hobby!
  3. Congratulations! I've been eyeing it for a while now(no bridge though...)
  4. Congratulations Edipis, a toast to you with a martini!
  5. Logitech G500 XTRAC Mouse Pad X-Rite i1 Display 2 Monitor Color Correction 12GB of G.Skill memory for the laptop (1x4GB, 2x4GB) Crucial 128GB SATA III MLC SSD
  6. Not really new, but I think everyone that has a computer/laptop should have an SSD, not only does it consume very little power, but there's a pretty big difference from your standard hard drive.
  7. Is it the headphones? Something's odd there...
  8. I think someone else mentioned this, in Chrome the twitter box has the twitter logo as a background so it's repeated throughout the whole thing. Also the Head-case logo is a different color from the background in Chrome?
  9. Looks much nicer, quicker load too!
  10. That looks very nice, congrats!
  11. In my opinion the new Thunderbolt displays are mostly for people who just want a one stop solution when using their new mba or mbp with the thunderbolt connection. Disconnect it and you're on the move with your laptop. It uses an IPS panel with LED backlighting(that's why they're thin), the Dell U2711 has a better color gamut since it uses CCFL. The apple display has a glossy screen and it's 16:9(this doesn't matter to most people though). If you're really looking into professional grade monitors, go with Eizo, LaCie or NEC. The Dell U2711 and some HP ones are also a good choice, but they're not 10-bit like the other ones I just listed. The design may not be as great as the apple, but they do have adjustable stands.

  13. My condolences, Voltron, even in her last moments she must've been extremely happy and proud to be surrounded by her entire family.
  14. Mother of God who are you?! Such great games from the olden days like Blade of Darkness, Gothic 2, etc. sadly sound isn't that good. Either way thank you, even though Bioshock isn't that great sound wise in my opinion, Assassin's Creed might be even better, Bioshock is very atmospheric, but not sure about sound evaluation, we could say the same about STALKER and others, FEAR2 is actually pretty good with sound too...
  15. I think Half-Life 2 had good surround sound, maybe also try Mass Effect 2, Metro 2033. You can always go with the 'popular' ones, Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, Battlefield etc.
  16. I'm in for 2 sets KGSSHV Thanks for doing this and to all who were involved
  17. You can always try a Neko DAC, although not sold on amazon
  18. Have you given Adblock a go? It can block out all those annoying ads(no comment on the rest)? Not sure if that's your computer or not though

    Watches

I have to say though the default bracelet that comes with the watch is alright but it doesn't do the watch justice, and I don't think rubber would go well with it at all. If you're ordering the black version you can try the black leather bracelets, or you can always buy or diy from somewhere else. A bracelet like the one on archosman's picture would go really well. Also even if you don't see something on the website send an email and ask, they seem to even do custom orders so you never know.

    Watches

I bought this one in April: http://www.steinhartwatches.de/index.php?id=67&artnr=159&Sel_ID=27 Steinhart responded quickly to my initial emails, but later on it wasn't that great, I did have to wait about 5 business days after initial order for the watch to ship. Then came the FedEX nightmare(entirely fedex fault not steinhart, package went to 8 different countries before finally getting to me), I called Steinhart and they were able to fix it very quickly, so in case something happens call them you'll save time. The watch, after it's extremely long trip, came in excellent condition, works well, the manual and quick start leaflet explains things very easily, I'm now afraid to wear it since it's so nice! The lume is excellent as you can see from photos on the watchuseek forums, it's also a thick watch, not heavy but solid, very nice quality. I also bought the crocodile stamp, brown leather bracelet which goes very nicely with the watch(http://www.steinhartwatches.de/index.php?id=67&artnr=244&Sel_ID=20&Sel_Cat_ID=1#244). I know that for this model they have a steel bracelet that costs 60 euros, I didn't order it in the end but it might be of interest to you. oh and shipping is 30 euros, and from what I've read U.S. has to pay customs.
