Braved a nasty drive, saw family, ate good food, braved another drive, raked leaves, and ate more food. Fair day, relatives are bad at invading personal space and nosy as usual, but glad to see them.

Um, me too. Impressions cost $50 here, though from my previous experiences, not sure they are the best for impressions.

I'm actually looking at Stax accessories such as the Omega headphone stand, the SR-404LE, and Stax SRE-725 (750 in brown is only one in, so still considering). Its what I have bookmarked. I need a better headphone stand for the O2. The extension cable is so I can wander around, go to the bathroom, etc. and in general don't have to take them off until I get it.

Still, what will be seen cannot be unseen.

Hey Brent, a lot of manufacturers register the specific model hard drive to the controller in sealed externals IME. I tried this once with a Maxtor. The hard drive will work with any normal controller usually, but not just any hard drive may work with the USB HD controller chipset in certain brands made with a specific hard drive.
