  1. I don't think he would have recommended it if he didn't think you probably knew better (ok, maybe he would). Don't be too upset (don't really think you are, but...), its still a better suggestion then most would have gotten on head-fi by far. Audio-gd this, Meier that.
  2. 1. Google Stax O2 and Stax SRM-717. 2. Singlepower may burn your house down and good luck finding one. 3. Learn to use the edit function. My gut feeling is to look into other phones for the money. D7000 isn't going to become different enough in a nice price range like that to give you a great cost to benefit ratio IMO.
  3. I read on head-fi where JH stated in the release that they tweaked the JH16 to make the JH16 Pro after engineers supposedly said the market could use the bass increase. So, it seems that by building on the JH13 signature and the JH16, these are supposed to have crossover improvements to make the pro version. I'm also not interested in either still, but will watch the price of the JH13 especially knowing the JH Audio with do reshelling for $75 from what I hear (which UE would not do originally for any price).
  4. Yes. More:jbl:on trampolines.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. I was listening to the Qualias you gave Justin. They were probably my favorite phones of the Florida meet.
  7. And this is how WW III begins.

I'm wondering how you come back from something like that and still have it be entertaining rather then mostly depressing.
  9. I love the Qualias on Vicki's rig, mostly for the speed and bass. The HD800 didn't compete on it or any other rig I've heard for me personally, though it was satisfying enough to enjoy. I didn't look at the measurements.
  10. I'm sure its completely a pass idea, but last time I visited I spent three nights in a hostel around New Years.
  11. I like several phones better then the HD800, but will give them points due to only a few of those are less expensive and that those that are less pricey are also less detailed. I would happily go to the 007 mk1 if I had to make the choice over again though.
  12. I have a couple of the original Fiio (I think that was the E5) and gave one to my bro too. He loves it, I thought it was basically a bass and volume booster. It about kills me that the portable cd player he uses makes a loud beeping with any adjustments to the volume, makes me really want a volume control on it like the E1. I planned to use them for Christmas presents, but my flunky relatives decided not to really meet up for Christmas, so I still have them on hand.
  13. Thanks for doing this, no matter what you say, its very kind of you.
  14. I've always wondered if they do anything to test and tweak the sound signature of the drivers in the custom shells to a specific range like UE and JHAudio do.
  15. This thread has taken an odd turn. I'm not sure what choice Wayne will have if the mother wants none of it, at least from my sad view of affairs and politics today.
  16. Sounds like I may want to be quick before rates go up.
  17. Really.... interest is piqued. Also, FTFY.
  18. I'm a moron for saying wireless anyway. Its only the HDMI cable carrying the signal now instead of a separate CAT cable. http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/hdmi_1_4/index.aspx
  19. There is an odd documentary about this obsession. The host is pathetic to the point of being entertaining (apologies to those with strong similarities). Vinyl (2000) - Alan Zweig investigates the wacky world of record collecting | Free Lifestyle Videos - Watch Lifestyle Videos Online | Veoh
  20. HDMI 1.4 with 3-D television and wireless internet options are right around the corner, seems like it may become outdated before it can be released.
  21. I might wish to give my lambda a check up. Is there any way to reglue or close the gaps safely if so?
  22. Nice pickup Alex!
  23. Hanns-G 28" HH-281HPB LCD monitor
  24. Happy happy birthday!
  25. Turntable or not, sugar glazed bread tube sounds delightful.
